I can’t believe the club isn’t giving us moment by moment updates on this!

If the rumours are true then the club has already sat down with Matterson to try and resolve it. That tells me they ARE doing their job.

There is not a single club in the NRL that comes out and publicly comments on contract negotiations, yet every time there’s a rumour this place goes into meltdown about why our chair/CEO aren’t commenting.

Get over it. We’ll find out when there’s something to tell.

I think there is a bit of over-reacting here. I like Matterson and think its ordinary that he is pushing for more cash only one year into a 3 year deal. However this happens at all clubs. Players who have performed want more. It would annoy me seeing Packer, Reynolds and Mats all receiving double the remuneration for doing very little else.

Madge is trying to shuffle the chairs - a fair bit will be happening behind the scenes that us fans don't know about and I am sure it is for the betterment of the club and performances in 2020. Have to remember the club has a noose around its neck with the salary cap position and as a result, negotiations are going to be delicate. I don't think the club has to give us a running 24 hour update so we can sleep better at night. Its a business and lets hope those in charge know what they're doing. I am quietly confident.
