Unfortunately they are right..
I am not sticking up for us as we deserve this and it might help the players bond together moving forward but.... Let's not forget we played the 2 top teams in the comp and they had some lucky breaks that make it look a lot worse then it is - E.g. 2 tries yesterday from deflections and Daine L was in the right position to collect them if that didn't happen, I thought 2 of them they are offside as well...
Now we don't help ourselves at all with piss poor ball handling and defence that even I got get through but Luke K was outstanding and showed what a real halfback should do.. (Brooks take note)
I thought most players tried there hearts out but were let down by a few and we all know who they are.
It's such a shame as I really thought we had a great off season and were heading in the right direction but we are back to where all the media predicted us to be and that's down the bottom.. Not sure about everyone else but I am getting sick of losing and would have to think the players are also.

Decision time for the coach moving forward but for me I would make these changes:
Talau on the wing for Apa
Moses in centres with JTJ
Drop Joey - Needs a reality check in reserves
Musgrave bench
I would also be tempted to bring in Tuki onto the bench with a very simple game plan for him to just run and tackle..

Brooks - I have backed him for a while now but after yesterday I truly don't believe he cannot run a team but he will get another chance as we don't have anyone better behind him except Madden and I don't think he is ready either. For me its time to go all out for Reynolds at Souths as he is the type of player we need desperately..

As we all do every week - we vent but we will always support the team on game days and that wont change so fingers crossed we get a win soon.

I don't honestly think they are right, though I share their passion. Tigers tried, they tried hard all match. They were knackered. They were mentally outplayed by a far superior team. All the effort in the world is meaningless if you lack football IQ, if you don't make your tackles, if you kick dead, if you fail to read backline sweeps.

We tried, but we don't have the cattle.

I dont think that Adam Reynolds is the answer if he does indeed leave souths unless we have a gun #7 that he can mentor.

The Main issue is now that we have a Half back that is scared to run and cant measure his kicks (out on a full or over the dead ball line) signed for the next 3 years on very good money.

Our game yesterday was crap and Id be surprised, truly, if we had too many more like that.

People calling for the coach's head and much of the other stuff - a bit off the mark just at the moment.

We cant use the tough draw as an excuse, because that has nothing to do with effort. But we have a tough draw.

I want effort. I dont care if we get beat by 50, but I want effort. BJ used more energy shaking hands at the end than he did for the whole match. he has to go to Reggies, 100%

Brooks is copping alot of unfair criticism. he deserves some, not all. His first 30 was exactly what I want from him - barr his kicking game.

Adam Doeuhi, for all that see him as a saviour, was disgraceful yesterday too. I saw him pass the ball several times like he was standing in an under 7s game. It was a joke.

The captain, Tamou, looked out on his feet - but I dont know why because he was MIA.

I think it wasnt our best performance, but anyone judging the team on yesterdays performance, as if it is a reflection of how good we are is kidding themselves.

Fair enough, and that's the only hope I hold for him. Although you don't often go from slow as a wet week to The Flash in any amount of time.

Agreed. There was very little effort after the Chooks scored their first try. We belted them in the first set from kick-off and I thought "we're on". As soon as the first missed tackle came in, that was the end of it. 3-4 players tried...the rest may as well find a new job because they're not professional footballers.

That's a very, very low bar but much higher than what the team achieved with their pathetic effort on Sunday.
