The more I read this thread the more I think back to what most of us thought (including me) when we signed Utai.
I don't think Ryan is the best player in the world but the guy is professional and would be a great mentor for the young forwards

I think he'll be a really good signing TBH, def as a bench player though.

Could bring good experience and professionalism to the squad. He wasn't going bad at all not too long ago.

I mentioned his likely signing last week after Sheensy let it slip(amongst other matters) at a luncheon. Unfortunately my post was seen as BS given it is out of Sheensy character, which may be right. I guess someone else has heard it too, however who knows until it is official

I was somewhat surprised when I heard that Sheensy made mention of this at a public forum too. Your right, it is not his style. Sheensy was apparently happy to take questions from the audience in regard to the 2012 team, so it may have have just slipped.
Apparently Bobcat's value to the Tigers is seen as much off the field (as a mentor to the young lads) as on.
Anyway, lets see if anything eventuates

Danos if you look 2 posts above you will see I corrected myself . Ryles is still far more useful to the Tigers than Ryan We have enough back rowers 2 of which are two of the best in the world

As much as I'm not all that keen on Ryles, he would add more to the WTs than Ryan whose form has been ordinary this year.
