I agree with that. Should not have been left on the field. Such a bad precedent.
 
I was annoyed when Aloiai broke the line in the first half and tripped the ref made him play it. Exact same thing happened to cordner and it's play on.

I know we got lucky on the forward pass, but seriously, the refs are killing me this year.
 
Yeah, I questioned that…so a fist to the face is a send-off but a deliberate elbow is just a penalty. Strange rules.
 
That elbow was bad and deliberate. We really need to look at bringing in the ten minute sin bin for foul play. The refs will probably be more likely to use that over a send off

I was at the game and i was livid about this one.
There was a good chance Aloia would have scored. The ref ruled that the defenders still had a hold of his legs , which they didn't, but even if they did 9 times out of 10 it's playon.

It's these basic things doing people's heads in, not so much the errors leading to or disallowing trys I reckon.
 
I just finished watching the replay and I'm annoyed…Michael Gordon knocked on a Brooks bomb which would of had us on the attack...Bwaith in his commentary said it was hard to pick up and you get those almost apologetic that Henry is a pumpkin...

Surprised haven't seen it mentioned...

True, forgot all about it but know the one you mean.
I think the forward pass from ted has lessened the heat on the refs?
 
The quality of refereeing is just garbage and getting worse. Forget missed or wrong calls when the game is at full speed, but when they can't even get it right after replays (like Semi knocking on twice the other night), it is time for a wholesale cleanout.
The bunker must be the most embarressing waste of money the NRL has ever conjured up.

aloiai's elbow touched the ground when one of the roosters had their hand just touching him, cordner's however was no one within a metre of him. so no issues with that.

i actually think we got the rub of the green often and roosters bombed a few tries. we defended valiantly and deserve the compliments but we got a tiny bit lucky yesterday with the scoreline.

ABC radio commentary was calling for a sin bin at least, saying they were disgusted at such a cheap shot… even Gibbs, who had been death-riding us all afternoon.

I was at the game and it happened right in front of me. As deliberate as it could be.Should have been a send off and JWH is one of my favourite players. Stupid.
 
JWH should have gone, unfortunately the NRL crackdown on certain things while others fly. Elbows are okay, but throw a punch and you're gone. Idiocy, in what other sport with send offs can you deliberately elbow someone on the jaw and not be marched?

To be fair to the ref on that one, Gordon dived for it and came up immediately with the ball, usually an indicator it has been caught cleanly. I had no problem with it live.
