Anone get that Sinking feeling (our season)

I almost couldn't believe what I was reading here with this post….I thought...this is harsh then I read the poster...we still have hope

I dont think we are done yet…

Origin is gone, so barring injury Woods and Farah based back in the team full time should put the brakes on the disruption which we obviously cannot deal with, and return the leadership we obviously need.

Moses got blooded, didnt look out of his depth at the premier level... Braith also looked to have picked up an injury (not pleased that he is hurt, more so the team selections it may force Potter to make). The future may be fast tracked...

Potters rigid selection criteria has to be at its limits by now. I almost prefer the repeated failure of some players rather than a week up then down then up, buying them leway to be selected again and possibly cost us in a close contest.

I suppose what I am trying to say is that the Origin period was always going to be tough for us, though we are at or past the point of knowing what doesnt work for us, and at the place where changes are all but forced to be made. Potter will either ride the wave of mediocrity home or look for solutions... I have a feeling he knows what has to be done.

There are certain things in life you just learn to ignore. Irvine's hatred of Potter is just one of them.

There is no way the Tigers will progress while Lawrence is in the team with his numerous defensive weaknesses ( which are starting to affect Richards form as well ). So many tries are scored by Lawrence's misses that it is not funny, watch the replays.
Generally speaking the forwards are tackling ok without being as dominant in attack since Gavet has been out. If we can get our forwards dominating again and get rid of the defensive weakness ( Lawrence) then we can beat anybody as shown already this season.

well we sure not in a good position I am a fan of potter but I cant see how Lawrence gets in every week, lulia in my opinion isn't up to nrl standard , why select joel luani when you have a better player in Austin who gives us more in attack. we could have 4 forwards on the bench like we had when we were winning. you just cant believe Robbie and woods can make that much difference maybe the rest of our players should give half there pay to them 2

you cannot run a 4 prop bench with the concussion rule… it would be perfect for an injury free game, but not having a utility would have hurt us more often than it was wasted.

Yeah i agree with you 100% , Lawrence is killing the side with his errors and poor defense leading our opposition to countless tries ,he simply has not got the speed anymore and we can't keep carrying him cause he is still contracted with us for 2 more years .
Someone else said earlier that the smart thing for Lawrence would be to come to an agreement with the club to be released and play in England which i agree wholeheartedly , everyone is quickly forgetting just how good Lawrence was at the beginning of his Career only because he has been so poor for so long.
If the fans can see how bad he is ? why can't Potter ? Maybe cause we are paying to much for him to be playing in Reserve Grade.

people honestly believed we were going to win today? really?

I don't always expect the team to win, but i expected more than what they delivered today. Especially as it was a home game played at Leichhardt oval. Very disappointing!

Our position on the ladder has been greatly misleading due to us getting our two byes very early - it seems before origin began -

This week we had Parra, Broncos Warriors and the Storm all pass us due to them getting their 2nd byes.

….and guess what, we still have the Dragons and NQ Cowboys right up our clacckers....both whom get a free 2 points from their 2nd bye next week while we travel to brookie in 5 days with farah nice and fresh 48 hours after Origin 3

Yeah the ''old girl'' wasnt much help to us today ay tigermama??

As long as the intent & attitude is there for the remainder of the season I will be happy. Hopefully with some troops back we can still stage a decent run home.

I'm looking forward to the coming weeks as a test of character. We've ground out some wins, like last week, in the face of a ridiculous injury toll, where we"d once have folded.
If a few factors fell into place, we could still compete well: some mongrel off the bench, with the return of Gavet from his inter galactic odyssey; Moses mixing it well with Brooks and Austin; building pressure like we did at the outset of the season.
And surely our 5th tackle options can only get better. I imagine Brooks will be busting himself to improve there.
And Moses just might make the difference, along with more of what Austin showed today.

I was quite disappointed today, but I can't say it's season over. It's a 26-round comp, who knows what we are capable of in the back end of the season?

What I do think is wrong is to start slitting wrists during Origin period. We are just starting to learn what the top teams feel when their best players are yanked for 3 weeks in middle-season. We are a different team without Farah and Woods.

But if you've been paying any attention to other teams, look at Doggies, Cowboys, Broncos, Storm all struggle during this same period and wonder to yourself what you expect when your team is disrupted by rep footy.

Challenge is now to recapture consistent form for the remaining weeks. I don't care if we had 4 close wins recently, it's still 4 wins and Tigers teams of a different era would let close games slide.

It doesn't need to be a 40 point victory to be a result.

The old girl seems to have much more charm when she is covered by 2 inches of water

Can't the rest of our games this season be organised around rainfall ??

Am I the only person who was very optimistic about this club by seeing the young players today, taking into consideration all the players out?

Other clubs would be dieing to have Brooksie, Moses, Sirro, Teddy et al

we'll make the top 10\. Probably miss the 8 by 1 win, or make it. Personally, I'm feeling fine about this season and more than fine about the future.

We still have the personnel to trouble any team in the comp if we complete our sets and at least hold our own in the ruck speed.

once we get our SOO players back and simona we should be set to pull off a couple of upsets and sneak in the 8.

Believing we were going to win and expecting to win are two different things. Heart said Tigers. Head said Panthers.

Disappointing is an understatement.

It's not a hatred Willow. I think Potter is a nice guy but he simply can't coach at this level.
His been a good fill in but it's time now to get a real coach.

Thing is Irvine you have become a broken record. We get it, it's your opinion, it's fine. But if you haven't been able to discern it yet, people skip over most of your comments because it's like you are stuck on repeat. Let's mix it up a little.
