Another board meeting on Monday and Farahs future

This just can't be happening. How will this club recover if next yr if we lose the two guys who are in charge of organizing lunches and re-designing the Gym?

hahaha classic, great call :roll

You would think we are losing great players the way the media and players are whingeing, but lets see Ryan, good clubman, funny, media profile, will perform okay, but we have 2 pretty good backs coming thru in Koro and Nofo.

Heighington hasnt been effective in years (apart from short bursts).

If we can just get rid of Moltzen, Tuqiri and Ayshford (or if not, keep them as depth players) and sign an established halfback, a winger, centre and a prop I think we can be back up there within 2 years.

Just everyone needs to give a new coach at least one season whereby we do not make the finals (Sheens got 7)

As for this Season I am so glad we didnt finish 8th!! Bring on the changes

Imagine if Sheens goes ,Robbie stays as long as the price is right

Hit the road Tim …...

Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah is weighing up an offer to link with his NSW coach Ricky Stuart at the Parramatta Eels s the dramas escalate at the joint-venture club.

The news came as The Sun-Herald was told the Tigers could soon be forced to name coach Tim Sheens as their director of coaching instead of sacking him because they can’t afford the $1.2 million required to terminate his contract.

The suggestion Farah would join Stuart at Parramatta was mentioned when Stuart signed on to rebuild the Eels in July. It has gathered momentum during the week after the club cut three of its most popular players – Chris Heighington, Beau Ryan and Blake Ayshford

Observers at the recent Brad Fittler Medal presentation, which acknowledged Farah as the NSW team’s best player this year, noted Stuart spent a large proportion of the evening engaged in deep conversation with the star No.9.

Parramatta’s interest in signing Farah is common knowledge among Wests Tigers players, one of whom said Stuart wanted Farah because he was the type of player needed to add steel to this season’s wooden-spooners. The player, who asked not to be named, added it would be ”shambolic” if the Tigers lost their inspirational skipper.

”The Eels are going really hard to sign Robbie but I can’t say what he’s thinking because I don’t know,” said the player.

Oh surely this can't be true

I would be disappointed if any of our 'franchise' players is gone: Marshall, Farah, Woods, Galloway, it would take some time to recover, but there is always another day.
Our administration shall make everything possible to keep them all.
If they cannot achieve it, our administration shall sign with Parra
(What an inspirational heading: Parra signs Tiger's administration  )

Go Tigers

$450,000 a year - ridiculous money to coach a team.

If you are taking it however you should have the integrity to walk away if you haven't made the semi's.

If we could get Hasler or Bellamy for $450 k I'd start the fundraising now

Mate, I'd go and rob a bank!!

I really hope farah doesn't leave because he's basically doing what wayne bennett did when he left the dragons and signed with newcastle darius boyd left as well and signed with newcastle. I hope farah doesn't do the same thing and sign with parra and sheens never coach again.

If Tim Sheens does go, then time for a fresh start.
Robbie will do what is best for him.
whether its staying at wests-tigers, ( which we all hope for ) or he chooses to move on.
either way, when a decision has been made, its his ultimate decision and needs to be respected for that, and everyone move forward.

Do you want me to organize a taxi for you Flip :sunglasses:

Or maybe a getaway wheelchair

I wouldn't be surprised if Farah did leave - terribly upset yes but not surprised - he must be gutted with the gutless performances that were put in over the last 3rd of the season, the fact that he had to carry a so called star studded side for most of the season and now the total shambles that is being aired in the media by players and admin - i would think even a basket case like Parra is looking pretty good.

I did my hamstring walking down the street this morning, better make it the wheelchair or one of those mobility scooters

Maybe Robbie is part of the club busting up the boys club. Maybe he wants this. It's obvious his passion is for winning and the club and mates are a bonus but not a reason. All this may see him be able to lead a club rather than just captain a club.
