You guys all loved my last conspiracy about farah not giving miller a chance haha! I stand by it, but I think farah is warming up to him as a halfback, he probably wanted some convincing which he's gotten, hence the field goal although that was probably more potter's intervention. he probably got them to practice that 100 times in the off season with miller at the receiving end a lot.
Anyway, this week's one is something that's been mentioned quite a few time. Utai is a smokescreen for (most likely) Tedesco. So, reasons FOR:
1\. Tedesco is a great player, and it's a good idea to blood young fullbacks on the wing. Don't want all eyes and pressure on ya first game (2nd for teddy).
2\. He's been playing reserve grade and potter made it clear Nyc -> NRL will NOT happen. That's why he likes to put in potential first graders in nsw cup, not holden as the step up is too great.
3\. Saw an interview with potsy and he had a massive grin for a few seconds while talking about utai, like he had something up his sleeve. Then almost immediately after he said something along the lines of, "theres quite a few youngsters coming up, tedesco and a few other." Notice he only mentions teddy.
4\. Utai was supposed to come back Round 5 i believe. A week early is possible, but less so considering I heard that about 5 days ago and this is a thursday game, short turn around.
5\. Puts toovey's plan off cause it's gonna be, "make utai feel like he's at pearl harbour." But when teddy comes, the players are probably gonna be a little bit disoriented. Puts more pressure on em.
6\. Utai got hooked and he is far too short for wing, whether potter believes it…another story.
Reasons against
1\. Tedesco is young, inexperienced while utai is VERY experienced.
2\. Utai was named haha
3\. Pottsy hasn't shown great faith in tedesco yet, put some raps on him. about it.
So yeah, thoughts?
