Another false start hope for the year.

honestly guys what did you expect??? we always seem to win round 1 then everyone gets so excited about the team the critics the fans everyone, says 'watch the tigers this year reminds me of 2005' then round 2 or 3 comes along then we get belted and it's back to the same old same old, this team cannot be consistent at all, it's been like that for 17 years, 2010 was really the only consistent season we had, where we stayed in the top 4 week to week, 2005 was won on a great run (much like sharks last year) 2011 was also just good run at the end but a choke to the warriors.

you take 2010 out and this is the tigers every year. we shouldn't expect any different

Now off to Canberra a team we used to beat easy at home but got smashed last year twice, and blew a 22-0 lead the year before. and a Canberra side DUE for a win

The club is not capable of back to back
Performances clearly, it looks like another boring nrl season, all
The storm do
Is win, we probaly will have the eels turn for a fairytale they have the longest drought, so it's a must for the nrl to help them

Doesn't take a genuous to see dragons tigers usually start the season off well then both turn into pretenders, 2010 and 2005 weeks like a long time ago
Now.

Today showed just how weak some of the forwards are once Woods goes off, needless to say the edge and outside defence is appalling. If JT cant fix this by now, then he needs to go asap

Dont hold your breathe on JT fixing it anytime soon

What this performance shows is that no matter how much these players think they are worth if they are not willing to compete then your not going to win.

Last week was masked by no Reynolds and Inglis going down, we are still mentally weak and poorly coached.

Love how this site melts down after ever game and you can not get your post up

Not a truer word said on this forum for a long time…most of our players think they are NRL fg players, they have a fair way to go...first and foremost -if your going to run out and represent your club,at least perform to the potential and hype that surrounds you or don't go out at all..its been a long time since I played the game and even at my age I would of been proud to wear the WTs jersey and they would have had to carry me off before I stopped trying..I suppose parading around like an NRL player makes you one...how wrong are they ???

The alarming fact for me is looking at the structure and non defensive patterns of the team ..This is Taylor's 3 rd season with these players and being frank they look a rabble in most aspects of the game . I would expect that after 2 full seasons under the same coach these areas would be flowing well by now..
I will give Taylor to round 6 for the team to find its feet although after 2 seasons they should already be there,if by then things have not changed the club HAS to look for a coach that DEMANDS results as the team at present looks a very poorly coached team especially after 2 seasons!

If we had some decent back up reserve players we may be able to give these pseudo first grade players a wake up call. For the last couple of years all these first grade players have been giving us (the fans) is the wake up reality call of how very short the team is off the first grade level. We would have to be one of the poorest teams in the competition, both financially and class wise.

I wonder what effect tims confession had across the club, as we where smashed in all 3 grades. if it had no affect then god help us, we now have 3 useless head coaches.

The bottom line, coaches and defensive coaches have come gone over the past ten years but nothing has changed we still have a very soft underbelly.

I think it is time to start focusing on our player roster and making some hard calls with the future in mind. No point in persisting with the same old same old if they can not cut the mustard. Although not to many people in the lower grades are screaming out for selection, but sometimes you just have to pick a kid and hope

Yeah I think that was proven by the performances of all three grades yesterday. We cant give wake up calls to under performers because those coming through are very average and will get eaten alive in FG.
Do we have any real prospects in the lower grades that would make an impact this season?

More than anything, yesterday's result(s) have got me thinking…what now? It doesn't seem like there's a lot of untapped potential just waiting there in NSW Cup and U'20s to be given a shot at NRL, as was the case with Moses Suli. So, after that debacle yesterday, what's the answer?
