ANOTHER four secondary school players will join the West Tigers rugby league club at the end of this year.\
\
Sila Central High School Under-18 utility back Nemia Cavuilati, Nasinu Secondary School's lock forward Peniasi Uluvula and Queen Victoria School duo, Ratu Emori Tuisese and Mateo will be joining the NRL club during its off-season next month.\
\
And Nasinu Secondary School rugby league winger Sakeo Raloa has put penned a three-year contract with NRL club Penrith Panthers.\
\
Raloa might follow the footsteps of his former teammate Marika Koroibete who now has proven his worth for the Tigers.\
\
And according to assessment done by their coaches at Nasinu, Raloa is a better player of the two.\
\
Fiji National Rugby League development officer Joe Rabele says Raloa could impress for the Panthers in the Toyota Cup competition.\
\
"Yes, Raloa has signed a three-year contract with the Panthers. He will start from the Toyota Cup just like Koroibete. They played together in Nasinu and I believe Sakeo has what it takes to be another star of the code in the future," Rabele said.\
\
"According to their teachers in Nasinu, Sakeo is the better player compared to Marika. I believe that Sakeo will have a bright future with the Panthers.\
\
"He is a good player with alot of skills and we have been training him every week here at our gym."\
\
Meanwhile, Cavuilati, Uluvula, Tuisese and Mateo were awarded scholarships where they could also extend their studies while training with the Tigers.\
\
Rabele added the four would leave the country at the end of the year.\
\
He said they had a few more secondary school players in line to broaden their rugby league knowledge overseas. Rabele said next year would be another year of recruitment for overseas scouts.''_

hmm recruitment strategy …...

Poor Ray Warren.
He's gonna struggle big time in a few years if he's still going.

Geez he must be a fair player if they rate him better than Koro. He has a few errors in him but Koro's the complete package. Has that X factor about him, lighting fast & puts his body on the line. (Hit on Sandown that changed the momentum, springs straight to mind) Him & Woods were the highlights for me this year. Gawd it's going to be a long off season.

Wouldn't get too carried away about Koro's error rate just yet… He's a kid who has proven to be an early sensation, will be a lot of expectation for him to kick on and perform, a lot of nerves.

If this other lad is better than Koro though, good God I can only imagine how wicked our outside backs will be.

I wasn't being critical of Koro, i was just meaning it's a big jump from 20's to FG & it's not a technique issue.Did'nt express it clearly enough. That other guy with big wraps is signed to the Panthers & it's the other four players mentioned that are signed with us.

He isn't one of ours CB, he is a Panther. I would prefer proven talent (Koro) over someone that is speculated to be a great player in the making (Sakeo) anyway.

I wonder what influence Lote Tuqiri's presence at the Tigers has on these young Fijians signing with us.

I reckon Lote will be part player, part community relations at the Tigers from now.

Well, if just one turn out anywhere near as good as Koro should be- or Lote was….it should be worth it

Totally agree , good investment in these Fijians . Would be driven hard to succeed after seeing the poverty in Fiji , for them big chance to financially help there families .

^^ The reason I want PNG to enter a team in the comp it may decrease poverty in PNG.

So he is, schoolboy error on my part.

rabbits already struggles big time ,so nothing will change

So true, ol' Rabbs confuses Daly Cherry-Evans with Sam Kasiano these days…time to throw the old tartan rug over the knees Rabbs and take up a bit of Bocce on the weekends instead, he is starting to be embarrassing for the game
