Friday 26 April 2013 5:02 PM

Australian Power & Gas has strengthened its support for the Wests Tigers by sponsoring the club for the 2013 NRL season.
The partnership between Australia’s leading independent energy retailer, who are also long-standing supporters of the Balmain Tigers, will see supporters offered exclusive discounts on home energy.
James Myatt, Australian Power & Gas founder and CEO, said: “Australian Power & Gas is committed to saving people money on their home energy bills and we’re pleased to extend our support of the Wests Tigers in addition to continuing our long-standing support of the Balmain Tigers. We’ve enjoyed a strong relationship over a number of years and we’re looking forward to offering Wests Tigers fans a chance to save money on their home energy.”
To celebrate the sponsorship, Australian Power & Gas is offering Wests Tigers supporters a $20 energy credit for every Wests Tigers victory this season if they sign up to an energy plan as a new customer.
Other benefits from the partnership include further exclusive product discounts for Wests Tigers supporters and opportunities to interact with players and legends through the Australian Power & Gas’ Hall of Fame.
Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys welcomed the new arrangement.
“Australian Power and Gas is a very successful company offering real savings to families with their energy bills. We are delighted with our association and thrilled about the strengthening of the relationship,’’ Humphreys said.
“I encourage all Wests Tigers supporters to take advantage of the tremendous savings on offer from Australian Power and Gas.”
The Australian Power & Gas Hall of Fame showcases kids with the passion, hunger and determination to succeed at whatever they try. The 10 kids named as Hall of Fame entrants will each win $2,000 worth of sporting equipment for their school or team.
James Myatt added: “Our sporting Hall of Fame is different – it’s strictly for kids. We want to be the power behind tomorrow’s sporting heroes and highlight kids who really go the extra mile in sport for their club, organisation or school. We look forward to lots of entries from Wests Tigers supporters.”

i dont remember if hyundai was this year or last year but so far we already have bingo and this company. idk how it is compared to other teams but seems good

Considering clubs like the Sharks struggle for sponsors year in year out, the fact we've got several big-name businesses across a range of industries is a testament to work in the club's back office.

Well done to Grant Mayer and his team

Lol to get good sponsorships we don't need to perform well because we have the largest TV viewership other than Brisbane and as a result get more channel nine games than anybody except Brisbane.

I think that might of been the case in the past ,but have you seen us play in 2013

We aren't licensed to thrill anymore ,thats for sure

Yeah it'd be interesting to know our figure in viewers this year, I think we have given up our "entertaining" tag. Even with Benji we haven't been the normal show-pony team we have been in the past. But I don't even think I am that disappointed
