Another great Ennis Origin moment

ennis is a complete joke of a player and an absolute tool. he will cost nsw again there is nothing surer. no room for cheap shot artists in the blues.

gid rid of the grub, gidley to dummy half, learoyd lars on the bench and the blues will win game 3

he made some crucial tackles - pulled off some rippers - tonite but yeh his discipline is dodgy

These threads are embarrasing. More threads here about him than dogs forum….get over it you whingers

Congrats to Ennis and NSW :righton:

I hope one of our forwards next week puts him out of commission big time (Legally of course ) Illegally if they can get away with it .

God forbid we would have to talk about footy matters If there were no Ennis and Moltzen threads. I'd rather moan about certain players than talk about the footy

Ennis was good in the origin game. He pressured kickers every time while he was out there which meant NSW were starting sets in better positions. Thats one area Farah can really look at improving his game.

Woah woah woah, you're not allowed to give Ennis credit on here. You must make a thread about every mistake he makes and nothing else. :deadhorse:

oh i get it,its coz he was wearing that blue jersey last night so we all love him atm,its coz he was part of 1 of the 'weakest most courageous NSW teams in SOO history' when in reality they have the cream of the crop to pick from and the only reason they chose such a weak team was coz of Stuart and the selectors boneheadedness, but the moment he puts the blue and white jersey back on we'll be back to hating him.I was pointing out something i saw and if you guyz don't agree, don't comment, simple.Save yourself the trouble of getting your little panties in a knot and just don't read.I look forward to reading what you guyz have to say in the next Moltzen vs Lui thread

let ennis get picked for origin, and robbie not.

the selectors feel the need for ennis to be there.
they like his up and in your face niggling style of play, then so be it.

rather have robbie be able to play for wests-tigers.

I obviously watched a different game than some on here. Ennis again had a shocker. This is not Ennis v Farah for me, because it proved in game 2 that Gidley is a good option too.

Ennis stifles the players around him. The Qld can concentrate on Pearce and Soward knowing Ennis offers nothing, so that cuts their time down. When Gidley arrived, he had the Qlders thinking and that gave Pearce and Soward that extra space and time, and look what happened. Anyone who cares to can check the stats, Equal time for Ennis and Gidley, yet Gidley out did him in every stat.

Not only that, Finally NSW has the ascendancy after 60 minutes and Qld start to be on the back foot. So Ennis comes back on and wants to rage on. Now, I didn't think I would ever say this, or se this, but in one of the blow ups when Ennis was mouthing off, Gallen ran in and grabbed Ennis and told him to shut up and F… off. Several other team mates did the same. They knew they had the upper hand and did not want Ennis tipping the balance.

Now, as for bagging Ennis after a bad game but saying nothing when he plays well in origin, I am yet to test that theory because in my opinion he has never had a good game! Has he done some good things from time to time? Absolutely! I don't like him one bit, but I do respect that he plays top grade footy each week, is in the top 6 hookers in the game and that proves he can't be a total tool.

Ask Cameron Smith who he fears more when playing opposite? I think he made that clear before game one.

Clearly, Cameron Smith is the best hooker running around, consistently. When Farah is hot,he is white hot but doesn't have that consistency. Farah is also well known in league circles as a selfish player and a one man team. That is why he hasn't been picked. Is it fair? I don't think so.

Despite getting the players player in City v Country, despite being Dally M runner up for the past 40000 years, Farah will not be in for game 3\. Ennis will stay. Which is why NSW has lost the last 5 series, because we have this theory of not changing a winning team even when they arent the best players. In Game 3 this year, if Qld play to their capacity, we will have to do a lot better than the other night!

If Ennis's team are behind in any game and he chips are down, he starts the baiting and mouthing off and the opposition fire up. It makes it ten times harder for his team to get back into it. If he put his head down and ass up, he could be valuable.

In any case, there are several options, including Farah that I would pick before Ennis.
My Rant over.........

Just been on the Telegraph's website and there's an article on Ennis and his kids and Origin, one of the reader's comments made me laugh.
'How long before a Wests Tigers fan comes and and writes that Robbie Farah would be a better Dad!'.

I'm the biggest Ennis hater there is. The reason why he's playing origin is not on his ability but the way he used the media to promote himself reminds me of how a politician uses the media to get themselves voted into office. In saying that I thought he was ok in the game, nothing special.

The thing for me is I see the whole dummy half role as an area of opportunity for NSW. Ricky had the right game plan by bringing Gidley on after 20 minutes and exploit QLD's tiredness around the ruck area during the 2/3 of the match. What Ennis did during 1/3 and 3/3 of the game any half able first grade player could do.

To strengthen up the NSW team even more for game three I would have Luke Lewis starting at 9 to deal with the opening onslaught from QLD then bring on Gidley. Lewis will be in the team regardless and having him start opens another position on the bench for another forward.

I have never nor will I ever see the value in carrying two hookers into a game. Personally, I think that is a waste of a bench spot. Luke Lewis has to start then when Gidley comes on, then Lewis can revert back to being a back rower.

With regards to this whole Ennis v Farah saga, I'll always say that Farah is a better hooker than Ennis but at the moment, I think Lewis is the best choice to start the game as hooker and then Gidley coming on as a weapon. I really dont think Farah's form demands any change from Gidley being used as the attacking hooker. I thought when Gidley was on the field QLD were at their most vulnerable. Ennis is too one dimensional from dummy half. When he's at dummy half, 9 times out of 10 he'll pass the ball from dummy half. Any half decent first grader can do that. When he does have a scoot from dummy half he doesnt posses the ball skills or speed to worry any defensive line. That's why I'd much rather Lewis start and Gidley to come on after the bashing out period finishes.

Farah has had limited opportunity in recent times to shows his game at representative level. IMO he showed in the city v country game that he is able to play a conservative dummy half role where it was clear that he was sticking to what Fittler asked him to do which was a different approach to the game he plays for the WTs. I have read posts where it has been mentioned that Farah is considered by some league judges (outside of WTs) view Farah as a one man band and sometimes selfish. Whilst it was only one game, he showed he can play a conservative role. Perhaps he has learned his lesson (if there was one to learn) and he wanted to silence his one man band critics. Therefore, IMO, he is capable of starting off a SOO game playing the sort of role you are saying Lewis could play Chris and then once the hectic period settles, Farah is also capable of playing the role Gidley plays. I am confident that given a chance, Farah could do both. I know this is an Ennis thread but it is also about the hooker role hence my comments about Farah.

Can't believe a bloke which such limited talent can crack SOO. Once again, did nothing, didn't look threatening out of dummy-half, didn't put in any useful kicks, didn't get involved but hey? He's made for Origin! :roll He's quality!…..In a third-world sweat shop

What's he good for? Getting under the skin of QLD players is the only one I can think of.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets what he has been looking for (getting under Qlders skin) in Brisbane and could well pay the price.

Not just crack SOO, he is practically the face of it now! 😕

Kurt Gidley is far and away NSW best hooker. Stuart had a plan to bring Gidley on late in the half to exploit tired forwards, but the fact is, Gidley is widely known to be the fittest player in the compitition and could play 80 minutes and not blow out a candle. I see no reason why Gidley shouldnt be the starting hooker.
