Cant wait.

What a load of crap. If i was getting paid 6-700k you could boo me every day of the week..

This is why all the problems start. The board gets involved with the football department and thinks they know whats best.. Shouldnt they stand back and think why are these supporters booing? Its not because hes leaving, its not because of him form, Its because he is the captain and has done nothing but show the wests tigers in a negative light in the last few months. If he came out straight away and said he was leaving we would be all ok..

Give the club a break - it's being hammered from pillar to post particularly by Murdoch's cronies.

In the past it's been accused for not commenting when in crisis and now we're ripping in because they are standing up for themselves against telecrap.

I'm happy with club standing up to those drop kicks. Much prefer a media statement to the Twitter athon as shown by Mayer.

Statement is a slap in the face for fans we come first not players who don't want to be part of the club. There is no respect for the brand and its history with this management team.
Fans are being treated with disdain the fact the crowd was 75% Dogs fans should be what the club is concerned about.

I was happy with Pascoe's statement yesterday, but this is one step too far. Totally unnecessary and just draws more attention to the issue.. Just should've said nothing IMO.. Was hoping this was just something put together by the media based on a bunch of quotes.. Hopefully not an official statement.

The statement is 100% official…It was sent via email to all WT members this morning.

Another embarassing moment….we have been strung along by these twats for years....imagine if this had been a dogs captain deserting the ship, they would have needed a police escort. We need to harden up as a club.

you're doing your job because you're a professional and no other reason, and I don't cheer or boo my plumber.

You'd do more than just boo your plumber if you ran a project management company or plumbing company, and if:
- this plumber had been with you since he was a junior apprentice and left you last week rather publicly while you were in the middle of putting out the fires from another project _and_
- if he was senior manager of all your other the plumbers and carried on this way _and_
- as senior manager, when questioned by stakeholders and media he never once backed you or believed in you or publicly declared pride or loyalty _and_
- you saw him out with your competitor when things got weird _and_
- if the whole reason he was leaving was because he had an egotistical heightened sense of self importance (anyway, you were offering him top dollar!) _and_
- you gave him an offer which he sat on for many months, then when you gave him a deadline to get back to you so that you could get back to focusing on your business, he just ignores you and you find out through the grapevine that he has jumped ship.

Sounds like this plumber is poo-ing all over you.

I'd support your decision to boo him.

the board have a hide to come out with a statement like that, considering them have contributed to this fiasco, as long as I pay my money I will boo if I want and as long as it is not rude they have no say over us fans.

I don't boo players myself (full disclosure: I occasionally audibly share my views on wife beaters, but not by booing). But I'm not sure what business it is of the club's to tell fans how they should and shouldn't react to a deeply disappointing set of events. I thought Cleary had this one right: fans will do what they do.

Personally I thought it would be good if the three departees were greeted with complete silence. As in: you're doing your job because you're a professional and no other reason, and I don't cheer or boo my plumber.

I also don't boo my own players but I do believe in free speech so whatever way others want to express how they are feeling is okay by me.

Now call me crazy but based on what I read this morning, Aaron and James saying that they have not yet signed anywhere else, I think the club may still be hoping that they will sign with us!
Or maybe that is just my love for the club talking.

Cant wait.

That's the other thing.
After what Marina Go said on Twitter and now this statement this morning people are just going to boo even louder at Leichhardt on Saturday. Fans don't like being told what to do.

The only excuse (and would be a valid one) for this statement is they think both player might do another backflip.

Otherwise It is a pathetic statement.

Christ what a saga.
