Another year coming 9th

AFL is a different beast. Its much easier to win premiership after premiership. Hawthorn won 3 in a row recently. Back to back in the NRL hasn't been done since the Broncos in 92-93. Fingers crossed that doesn't change this week.

the nrl is very poorly run add to that the tigers are a bit of a joke and you have a club that is consistently inconsistent. Why would juniors want to stay? What incentive is there to develop junior talent? if there was a draft/trade system you could have tedesco/paperhazen traded for assets...but alas it's the garbage NRL...

2020 wil be the essentially the same as 2019 unless there is quality recruitment but there is little incentive for quality players to come to a struggling club unless it is top dollar.

@Roar_Power Maybe. The positives you mention are genuine and you're right about the communication or lack thereof. The club just doesn't seem to have a plan to address their weaknesses.

Nothing new to be honest. Had plenty of opportunity on their line and couldn't convert. Benji made a fair few mistakes but at least he bloody tried and almost helped us lock it up at the death. Brooks with his stupid short balls didn't do anything.

We're the same team we've always been. Losing twice to the team coming 15th is borderline criminal.

The mind set of this club/team has to change - nothing much has changed here for many seasons. Please let 2020 be a better on for this club:white_frowning_face: Can we take a leaf out of the more successful clubs' team management "team skills/mindset handbook😛ray:

I know we are sick of hearing "this will be a rebuilding year". But every year we seem to sprint into 9th. Have we really rebuilt?

Had Benji and Farah not come back this year. I have little doubt we would be lower then the Dragons. Should we front end sign a few top end players, accept 12th instead of 9th for awhile and make a play for 2021/2022?

We have effectively done this anyway. We have some big contracts coming up over the next couple of years. Let's hope we spend it well.

Fair enough. Absolutely no reason why any of the players would have cause for complaint...and 'I will now' include Matterson in that.

With so much junior talent I saw us becoming a NRL superpower .....just shows 14 weeks of great footy means little in the grand scheme of things
