Furthermore, defence at fullback is an entirely different thing compared to defence at centre.

Moltzen has played at centre before & he was a hole in our defensive line.

Lawrence isn't the sole problem in our defence that some believe.

He is the most vulnerable defensively due to our halves & back rowers on his inside also being poor defenders. It forces Lawrence to stay back, or stationary instead of sliding.

If we had decent defenders in the back row it would solve a huge chunk of our defensive issues.

But you know, its easier to make one bloke a scapegoat.

Madunit,Rowdy is not the player he once was,simply the injury he had has effected the way he plays at the moment,his form has been on show all season.
I don't think he is a scapegoat,WT had to fill spots for all the injuries we had and some selections weren't ideal,however you can't argue that Lawrence's form has been poor at times..

Moltzen would be another to try and fill the void as I said earlier we have little depth at the moment…. :smiley:

I never said Lawrence was the player he once was. Just that he himself isn't the entire reason he looks bad all the time. A point often missed or ignored.

But saying that Lawrence has been no good post injury (which is wrong anyway, because his form was red hot after returning from the hip injury & gained test selection) & then suggesting he should be replaced by Moltzen is an embarrassingly massive contradiction.

That is saying the same thing. Moltzen is not a centre in any capacity. If Lawrence doesn't get better, why replace him with a five eighth when Fine (a capable centre) could replace him.

Moltzen is the worst defensive centre i've seen play. The fact you even suggest him as a viable replacement for a centre is laughable.

Ayshford was indicisive because Benji (and Carney) were on his inside & couldn't tackle for shit. So Ayshford (like Lawrence now) stood back in case he needed to help and then got caught out flat footed every time.

One on one, Ayshford is a better defender than Moltzen.

I'm not 100% sure but it is a bit like the Beau Ryan situation

He has a contract and once the dollars are worked out they will then send the official contract to the NRL

Does that make sense
