Wishful thinking, but with the salary cap the way it is, could we have fitted Carney in with the players we have, I dont think so. You cant have them all, the Storm tried but came a cropper

If we got Carney i doubt we would of got Lote. Lote's been one of our best all year.
The real shame IMO was missing out on paul gallen when he allegedly wanted out of cronulla. Imagine the backrow of Ellis Heighington and Gallen.

If Moltzen plays a fair amount at half back next year I won't be disappointed that missed out on Carney.
Carney made his choice so I don't see why the tigers or the fans would have any regrets.
if Carney had of publicly come out and stated "i'd love to play for the tigers for nothing but the love of the game" and then we rejected him, then we'd have regrets. As far as I can tell that's not the case, we showed some interest he chose another club, that's football.
