Anyone Else Confident ?

I believe we have the cattle to to be in the Top 8 and be very competitive. However, I dont believe we have the game plan or structure to make this a reality.

1\. We need to throw out past reputations and service to the club.
2\. We need to pick the right players in the right positions.
3\. We need to allow the people who have jobs to do their jobs regardless of the outcomes.
4\. We need to not accept poor performances and discipline those who fail.
5\. We need to be a professional operation from the CEO to the Water Boy.

My confidence stems from all the talk of new structures aimed at playing to our spine's strengths.

We can look as good as anyone in the comp on paper, but if the relationship between Farah and JT is toxic, we're not going anywhere.

Considering both have rubbished this rumour in the past few days you shouldn't be concerned.

Oh, well then, everything must be hunky dory then. Because coaches and players are always honest with the media and public whenever there's trouble behind the scenes 😕

I think the big question is whether Farah's heart is still with West Tigers.

I dont see why it wouldn't be….

He wanted to stay and is.
By all reports the rift with JT is over and done with.
There is strong competition for his position.
There is half a dozen exciting young players ready to make their mark.
He doesn't wear the anchor of captaincy.
His financial situation is secure.
The forward pack, although not star studded, looks hungry for success.
The coach has adjusted the plans for the years game play.
He needs to prove his knockers wrong....

I expect a big year from him.

I would not say that I was overly confident, but if they do really well I would not be so surprised.
But I am confident they will give a good showing of themselves, we have the squad to make an impact if things fall into place ….with the help of a little luck
I like it that we have guys with the attitude of Moses, Teddy, Sue , Woods....I feel we will be up there at the end of the season

Undefeated Minor Premiers and eventual Premiers …that's how confident I am..

The pundits have written us off...going by other social media half the 'fanbase' have written us off...Use it as motivation to prove them all wrong....

While we sucked last year...I never saw them throw in the towel even in games we got hammered...that was a big difference for me on 2014...

Just display that PRIDE in the jersey and in personal performance...#winasone...

well said mate :sign:

I don't feel any better than last year. Can't see any reason to be, except that I have so little expectation there's room to be be pleasantly surprised.

I do hope though that we do well enough to motivate the manaia/brooks/moses/teddy unit to stay together. for better or for worse our hopes have been placed on them for the coming years.

Stretch I reckon the majority of our core team has learnt heaps from last year what NRL is all about, mainly the defense is where I hope they have learnt the most, this will be a defining factor if we are to at least make the 8…...

Bumped into someone today that has a lot to do with the club and I would not say he has a great deal of confidence.
He mentioned Luke Brooks looks like he is seriously considering going to the dogs as he cannot stand playing under Taylor.
Moses will go as well as Taylor has killed off their natural instincts to play what's in front of them.
Taylor is driving the players mad with a gluten free diet.
This will probably Robbies last year with a deal to be sorted out in ESL.
Balmain no chance of paying off the debt , Wests Ashfield to buy another 25 percent with the other 25 percent being sold off to a private investor.
Madge is extremely unhappy at Souths with the Tigers ready to make a big play for him if he decides to leave , Ivan Cleary is the second choice and has already been sounded out.
As for Taylor he has six weeks to turn it around and the contract is in the clubs favour with no payout required should he be sacked after six weeks.

Sad if true. We seem to be on a hiding to nothing.

Not much good news there.
