Anyone go to WT meeting??

Having the money is only half the battle. We need outside players believing in the system and who are willing to take a chance on us. Results this yr will go play a massive role in how we go in the market for 2017.

What meeting was this ? How did one get invited to the meeting ? Why is Wests Tigers having an annual meeting when it's a joint venture

Held at Wests Ashfield last 2 years…last year they simulcast it

I don't think we have a relationship with X-cast anymore…would be my guess...

I wonder this too? I'm a long term member and had no idea about this meeting.

To be fair I couldn't have made it today but interested to know how you get a call up.

I was there today and what i can tell from the meeting is:

1) Joel Edwards might not make first grade as fast as we thought he would. Taylor hinted towards his fitness not being up to standard.
2) Hunt will most likely get the wing spot, spoke really highly of him.
3) Chee Kam might see NSW cup for the first few rounds
4) When Ballin comes back from injury, it's a possibility he might play as a ball playing lock (i spoke to him afterwards).
5) I think Aloiai will push for a bench spot for round 1.

All in all, it was such a positive meeting and I'm really excited for 2016 after going

Appreciate the info but gee that doesn't fill me with much confidence.

Hunt is average on the wing, not strong from dummy half, poor under the high ball and botched a number of tries las year through not being a good finisher.

Ballin at lock, seriously stupid, like he feels bad that he promised Ballin Robbie was leaving so has to find him a spot somewhere.

Interested to see Aloiai, reading the parra forums a lot of them think he could have played first grade this year for them if he stayed.

No one will be ever able to replace Robbie. However, Ballin will be able to challenge Robbie and help our defence in the middle and help out our playmaking. He's a great signing.

Apparently it was invited members, including some that are part of the membership commitee, but a different meeting to that.

How many were there Cam?

About 80 I would say. Apparently it was a meeting for full season members. But maybe there was another condition on it? I'm not too sure.

Totally agree. Hunt will be a liability if in first grade and Ballin is a hooker who is great defensively and deserves to be a starting hooker for some team. Aloiai looks promising but it will be interesting to see he goes in the trials with the transition from NYC.

I don't think hunt will let anyone down. Cross between fitzhenry and beau Ryan. The smaller wingers will come into their own as the game quickens with limited interchange and shot clocks.

I was mightily impressed with him when he got his chance at Saints.

This kid is a goer and wont let anybody down!!

I must admit to itching to see Addo Carr in the clear but still it a win win!

Also agree. Ballin at lock??? Our forward is small enough, this move is madness - Better off throwing Sirro there as a ball playing option and sticking Sue or Aloiai in the backrow.

Here is the rundown of events.

Financially looking good. Can have a real go at the player market for 2016 so I would expect some big fish!

Fitness of players far better than last year.

New guys fitting in well..but the QLD boys a little off the pace. Sounds like they will be playing reserve grade!

Joel Edwards injured but looks good for round one!

Dam I was looking forward to seeing Joel Edwards and the QLD boys play round 1\. But on the up side I believe Josh should Aloaia should get a first grade debut this year.

The Qld boys were never going to get a gig in FG for round 1.

So three of our offseason signings are looking off the pace already, and another one isn't going to play the only position he's qualified for. Sounds positive alright!

Ballin was a dud signing. It may come off but Robbie and Cherrington would have to play like complete duds this season. As already stated we need a big tough pack of forwards and I don't see why we would put Ballin at lock.
