Deserved selection if true. Cook is great, a really threatening runner, but he has nowhere near the organisational skills and guile of Api. Also, while it hurts us short term, it shows recruits that tigers isn't just a wasteland and you can play reps here.

Also allows me to go for NSW again, and confirms my longtime protest against NSW teams without tigers has finally payed off! Most see supporting Queensland against NSW as ultimate betrayal, but I can't back the eastern suburbs NSW roosters. And the recent Ivan Cleary stab ya in the back NSW Panthers were just as difficult to support, even though I like the Panthers players (especially yeo) individually.

Yeah, he's skilful etc.

But his ability to bring others into the game is outstanding.

And he has definitely taken the role of captain on with authority.

100% agree on this..
I didn't really watch him until this year and he put on a masterclass last night. The team has worked it out now and starting to follow his lead and trust what he is doing.
 
Api does this thing quite a bit where he puts his hands up and has a puzzled look as if he doesnt know whats next. He did it in the first few games and it looked embarrasing, like a star player working with rookies...but he did it last night even with everything going right and looking slick. So maybe just a thing he does?

Someone on here commented that Da Silva got dropped yesterday, that’s the way to build confidence with one of the best talents we have. NOT.
