Apisai Koroisau #263

I like Api. He seems to genuinely care and he keeps trying all game. He has a skill set we haven’t seen here for a long time.

Despite this, I also laugh at him a bit. Imagine making the decision to leave the club you’ve just won back to back GFs with to go to a team who have just won their first wooden spoon. His first year at the club saw history repeat, with his old club premiers again and his new club wooden spooners, again. His second year is shaping up likewise and his new club is losing proven first graders for next year, indicating another very poor showing is coming.

Is this the worst contract decision made by an individual ever? 🤣🤣🤣
Love ya work Api, enjoy your 200th.
I was thinking the same thing.

You must be Looking forward to Luia and Turuva coming …

"One of our biggest things in our club is 'team first' and Api lives that and that’s why he’s the captain," Marshall said. "I thought it was unfair for me to put him in the seven when he is pushing to play nine in Origin but he saw it differently.

"I brought it up with him that he was going for Origin as a hooker but he said that’s not his focus at the moment, it’s what’s best for the team.

"He put his hand up to do it and it's a pretty unselfish act. That’s the respect he has for his teammates and how much he wants to help us get out of it." What a guy 🖤🤍🧡

I have to get off facebook gosh there are some morons. Apparently Api is just here for a paycheck haha what a gronk.
The 1st recruit in his age group that ever came to the tigers with a heart rather than just looking for a super top up

Leaves it all on the field

One of the true legend of the game

Api will only be suspended for 1 game next year as he will serve the other 2 games during the Pacific Bowl tournament
Is this confirmed or just your thoughts?

Would be a great outcome for us even though I think the grading was way over the top in the first place.

If the NRL accepts that as an outcome- more likely they will not allow the suspension to be played outside of the competition games because it’s us.

Love Api- But being honest he has looked totally clapped for a few months. Not sure if he has been playing injured for a while now. Benji made a comment in the last presser to that effect.

He just needs rest and help as he has the weight of the team on his sholders.

Laui will be massive for him as Laui will control the team and Api can just control the ruck.

IMO I think they will be co-captains

Think we’re witnessing a final run here with api, signed til end of 2026 (he’ll be 34). Shame he’ll only get 2 years with luai however I think if things get close or promising in 2026 think it’s worthwhile offering him a one year deal as a last thank you to him for everything he’s done for us.

I know lots of time for stuff to play out but my message really here is, let’s appreciate next year because it could be one of the last with api as captain or even playing.
