Apisai Koroisau #263

I don't even understand how this is a story. He is under contract and is not allowed to speak with other clubs. How can another club request a release on his behalf?
It’s hardly a request for a release, nothing more than a question.
And probably Because they spoke to the club - not the player or management.

Contract transfers are made all the time..

Yes that is true but we don't like it, wonder if what didn't come out in the media was a possibility of a decent swap deal.

Think Latu has the speed off the mark to slice through the gap between the scrum and the first defender when the time is right. Similar to how Doueihi did against the broncs at Suncorp a few seasons back.
Pack Latu or Mason at lock and pick it up an go back to the blind. There are no backs defenders there, blind defence needs to come quick out of the scrum.

Apart from experience, which also brings tangible benefits, I expect Tallyn to be at least on par with Api well before the end of next season, simply because one is rapidly improving as the other is declining.

At this stage I would prefer that WT can keep both for 2027, but none of us know for sure whether that will be feasible or warranted by then, which will very much depend on the development of Tallyn and others.

In the meantime, we just need them to stay healthy.

dont think he will replant his family for an upgraded payday ,when he got that here ,just up the road and life stays simple
I’m just worried where there’s smoke there’s fire, hope I’m wrong but Payten must have heard something, from someone. Maybe one of his old teammates ?

More likely Toddles is feeling the heat of being a poor performing coach and his main buy Bateman being a dud. He needs a quick fix and knows Api is one of the few who can turn a club around.I don't think there is any chance Api wants out

Payten is wise to ask. Api won’t get another deal with the Tigers. TDS will be ready in 2026 and we have Hayward who’s rated most highly by the club until 2028. Depending on TDS growth get Nanai in return and do a deal otherwise he stays.
