OFFICIAL Apisai Koroisau #263

You can't under spend on the position that touches the ball most and starts most of our set plays. But we do and hope a new kid with ability comes through. Then we let them go when ready for first grade.
I don’t think they underspent I think they stopped from overspending.
Still more pieces to come together for next year roster so will have to judge mid year

A lot of people will poo poo this but the player I would still like to have around is Jacob Liddle.

A lot of people on here couldn't wait to see the back of him.

Where the hell is Russell (I think it was Russell) when you you need some back up.
Hope offers the same , just not as quick a runner , Jacob was a good back up but those days are gone , give Hope a chance as he has loads of game time up his sleeve abet reserve grader but good back up, he has a go

He kinda hasn't done bad, kinda hasn't done a lot of good.

Puts in effort...

Look, don't regret him... won't knock him.

Honestly I haven't regretted anyone leaving us since the big 4.

I am not sure why TDS was allowed to walk when we go and start Hope with API off the pine , we could have done that with TDS , first 25 TDS then API on , API stays on until last 15 then bring TDS back on for the last part as he would have more energy , I know Hope would be cheaper contract but budget buys don’t win comps ,
TDS was a longer term solution for us and didn't want to stay for the extra 2 years behind Api. Haywood is where we have put our chips.

We will be buying another hooker in the jext couple of seasons I'm sure to replace Hope for depth.

I guarantee nearly all of these opinions expressed within the previous few pages will change sometime in 2027 at the latest.
We already had him until the end of 26.
That would have been enough.
I expect they will start long before then Tucker - next poor game. Things can change very quickly on here - the sudden need to re sign Douehi a great example.

Liddle playing well in shorter stints at the Dragons but has a big pack behind him that runs hard and tackles hard. Also sharing a role with Cooke. Back here he might just look like the same Jacob Liddle we let go.

As for Api’s extension, I think it was something we had to do for a lot of reasons. I believe there is a transition plan that now sees Hayward coming on instead of TDS with Hope filling in for now.
It’s good news for the club but we really need Bula to confirm his loyalty and Luai to drop his get out clauses. This will settle our spine and we can build from that.

I think it just comes down to Benji’s relationship with him. They are close, and Benji wants him there for as long as possible. That made TDS expendable, and seeing as how Hayward is coming through, it gave Benji justification for extending his mate.

First thing he said when he got there was he couldn't believe how much fitter the Dragons were,
Might also have something to do with him going better?
Meanwhile, We're still falling asleep for 20 minutes in games.

Are you happy with what has resulted.

I'm sure most people on here value their families but it has very little to do with our work. The same applies to football players. I want them to be good players busting a gut to win games for WT.
I think you couldnt be further from the truth...an employer that make an employees family feel welcome and valued is a wonderful thing...my old employer did this treating each employee as an individual and listening and going out of their way to help when ever they could.
theyd put on a family day once a year like barefoot bowls...jumping castles etc for the kids...some tried to take advantage but most appreciated it and respected it....made for a good positive culture in our workday which im sure is what we are pushing here too...dont see why some have an issue with it

This is great marketing for the Wests Tigers as a club and for Benji as coach.. Api is a highly regarded player in the NRL - there will be players who take note of what he has said when re-signed. Hopefully it leads to another signing for us post November 1.
