No question he was great in his first year at the Tigers, top tier NRL player.

Not so much since.

Api is no doubt a great player, but am I wrong for questioning his leadership ability?

He obviously was the best player for us throughout some hard years, but more recently I’m not sure if he’s the type of captain we need

Not to seem too harsh mate, but he has never been a captain here and his leadership qualities that people bang on about are greatly exaggerated.

I just don't see how Api gets abused here so much.

Shoulder charge was silly, but to be honest it looked like he went in to tackle but instead braced himself as he backed off (didn't catch a replay).

Wish he'd go back to Penrith for one more year and retire with another premiership. We don't deserve him, the club or the fans.

He did really well, but lack of discipline cost us. That strip and that shoulder charge was terrible.

Shoulder charge was stupid, but like Jason Taylor called out years ago when he started here, we make an error then can’t defend it. Nothing has changed since then.

Great player but not a very good captain.

He's way too good for us regardless but I suspect the last couple of years of his deal are going to be bad, mainly due to his age and the fact we've broken him playing so many minutes at this point in his career.
