Are Fifita and Gibbs off to the Sharks?

I've heard something along these lines, the Sharks have cash and need front row talent with Snowden departing and the Tigers are looking to save some money for next season and beyond from all reports.

wow thats massive news, surely this must mean we have blair in the bag

from the sharks pov though are gibbs and fifita really worthy replacements for snowden and douglas? seems like poor recruitment somewhat

But losing Andrew Fifita and Gibbs to get Blair …..

Why would the club announce on the official website that Fifita had re-signed if it wasnt the case? It will really make them look like first class clowns if true.

Gibbo posted hooorrrrooooo as his status on FB ,this is typical of the cryptic type status's and tweets he regularly drops when big things happen .

Gibbs only had a look around because WT broke a promise to his best mate Liam . The core of the WT playing group were collectively promised that they would be kept together long term if they were prepared to sign at discount Rates .

Less then a year and half after the promise was made , some players were told that if they could get more money else where they would/could be released . Liam was one of the players , Bryce was not , Bryce and a few of the players felt betrayed by this ,so Bryce decided to have a look around , if Bryce is leaving then so is Liam .

This broken promise is the rift which has been upsetting the players of late. And I think it is the reason the form has been erratic. My information comes from more then one reliable source .

i don't buy it.If there was only 1 of them going then i think that would be alot more believable, however considering they have off-loaded McKinnon and Payten's early retirement i don't think they'd have to off-load 2 more players.1 at most i think. Also the name of this thread is extremly over-dramatic

I would have thought that Gibbs followed Fulton and vice versa.

And if the Tigers have managed to lose Fifita and Gibbs, that is epic fail.

As long as the Tigers run out this week and ongoing into 2012, I'll be happy…

Maybe now the NRL will allow the club to announce the signing of Blair?!

They got themself into a big hole and its taken a lot of horse trading to get out of it. I have a hunch this rumor has legs! I mean big LEGS

The problem now their is a lot of very unsettled players a Concord and maybe we need a few new faces for 2012

Believable…but I hope it;s David and not Andrew going...Gibbs is just an average front rower...rarely bends the defensive line...

I reckon if a bit of a clean out is happening its the best possible news for the club.

Perhaps there will be other signings to announce other than just Blair?

I am praying its not Andrew Fifita. If it is we have lost one if not the best front row prospects to come along in years.

I cannot see Blair signing making up for the loss.

This was the story Underdog posted on May 20th about the Tigers Taking up the option for Fifita for 2012.

Wests Tigers have held onto two of the NRL's most promising young forwards, extending the contracts of props Aaron Woods and Andrew Fifita on Friday.

Woods' new deal will keep him at the club until the end of the 2014 season, while the Tigers have triggered an option in Fifita's contract for the 2012 season.

Woods has enjoyed an impressive debut season in 2011, making himself a valued member of the Tigers pack and playing seven games to date.

"I feel very privileged to be playing first grade and being surrounded by all of these great players.

"Being a local junior I'm extremely proud to be now playing for the elite squad, it's a dream come true really," the Balmain junior said.

Wests Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys was delighted to retain two important pieces of future Tigers forward packs.

"Aaron and Andrew are showing maturity beyond their years and are perfect examples of the depth we now have throughout our player roster," Humphreys said.

"They've both had a lot more game time this year which will only benefit their development and the club in the long run."

It would be quite silly if two weeks later they released Fifita to join the sharks. As other people have said, maybe it's David and not Andrew. I would be peed off if they let Andrew go.

Andrew re signed witb the tigers its prob david theres no way andrew left because he said he wants to be a tiger for life and when we re sign woods and andrew our ceo said on fox sports were looking to sign andrew fifta on a long term deal 😀 and they are in talks with him now big he is with us next year and confirmed

Well, its about time they woke up and realised they are professional athletes. Due to a lack of results on the football field, they are now expandable and the club has every right to sell them off. Bye Bye Bryce, Bye Bye Fifita…

I think people need to realise that keeping the core group of players as promised isnt working and getting consistant result. So people need to know things are changing and fans are not going to like it
If it means a clean out to get the results with new blood so be it.
Fafita if he does go, we have others equally as good and more coming through to cover it. We cant keep them all..

If we need to get rid of the two or three players to get Blair im all for it. People always wanted more mungrel and more upfront. Now we are a chance of getting it. Blair and Ellls = Salivating
