Are Fifita and Gibbs off to the Sharks?

I think people need to realise that keeping the core group of players as promised isnt working and getting consistant result. So people need to know things are changing and fans are not going to like it
If it means a clean out to get the results with new blood so be it.
Fafita if he does go, we have others equally as good and more coming through to cover it. We cant keep them all..

If we need to get rid of the two or three players to get Blair im all for it. People always wanted more mungrel and more upfront. Now we are a chance of getting it. Blair and Ellls = Salivating

You need to make changes if you want to improve, I agree moving on some players is a fact of sport and I for one see it as a positive step. The players should remember that they are not bigger than the club and some should have a dig game day because it is very clear to see that some are not giving it 100%

I agree that we probably need some change and that some player turnover is a good thing.

You cannot seriously tell me that Andrew Fifita going is a good thing. He is killing them at the moment.

how much do you think andrew is worth?

Agree with you there Tiger05 but if he does decide that his future is elswhere we have the depth and good young forwards coming through that will cover. We are fortunate enough that we bring alot of young players through the ranks and have depth and hopefully with ellis and blair on board the younger brigade have quality to learn their trade under.

Lets hope we snaffle a quality fullback at the same time . I can't believe we will go into 2012 without a first rate fullback . Just asking for trouble in my opinion

His value would have skyrocketed in the last few months.

I can understand losing Gibbs and Fulton - but not Fifita.

People are always calling for change from Sheens and Management to help build success.
When they do take that action everyone is up in arms.

Sure Fulton, Gibbs are loyal long serving players, but sometimes tough decisions have to be made.

Fafita has the potential to be a great damaging forward, so do a few other players in the ranks.
If we kept every player because of their potential we'd still see the like of Dean Collis and Halatau running around trying to reach their potential.

i 100% agree BJ.

people wont like the decisions but all will be forgotten when we win the premiership

what is this…

You cant read????

From RLW Facebook page…..
Rugby League Week
RLW exclusive today: Sharks close to double coup - signing Tigers' big men Andrew Fifita and Bryce Gibbs.

I heard the other day from a very good source that this was going to be the case re Fifita going to the Sharks so not suprised that it's gathering legs. The money being thrown at him was ridiculous and we were never in the ball game even if we did trigger his 2012 contract extension. It doesn't work like that nowadays unfortunately!

Both a shame to lose, Gibbs has served us well but if it means ridding the team of bad blood then it has to happen and a good strong stance by the club.

Two different things.
No ones calling for one of our best up n comers to be shopped off.
Only a few that blindly follow whatever the club does.
I'll believe it when/if its official

Are you really comparing the likes of Collis and Halatau to Fifita?

I think Fifita has proven that he is much more than potential.

Time to promote David Fifita to replace Andrew….hahahaha

lol… Why do you think Fifita is shopping himself around?!

To fire up some brotherly love and competitiveness…I'm sure David would love to take his brothers spot in the NRL!

I very strongly agree with this, and what T-REXX said.

Everyone's up in arms about the way the team is playing, yet when rumours come through that the club is looking to move some of those players on and allow other teams to pay massive overs for them (while at the same time signing an extremely high quality replacement) people get up in arms again.

You can't have it both ways…

Short term pain for long term gain..
You hardly hear anyone mention how Mark O'Neil was stripped of the captaincy half way through 05 when the team then went onto win the premiership with a new captain.

Rugby League is a business these days.. There isn't much loyalty, these days it's all about the brand name and the colours rather then who is wearing them.

Hybrid, fafita hasn't been around as long as what collis and halatau were. What if this is as good as fafita gets?
Perhaps sheens has seen enough at training to know that he has deficiencies in his game that are not worth persisting with.
I for one would keep him, all im saying is potential doesn't win you premierships or bring you consistant on field performance.
