Should the Kansas City Chiefs take the Super Rugby franchise to court?

What a bunch of sooks.
It’s not even a NZ franchise . Should NSW sue Auckland for the Blues moniker ? Richmond sue Balmain . Collingwood - wests ? West coast - manly ? . Footscray/western - Canterbury . London - Brisbane - Denver ….. so stupid .
It really highlights how threatened super rugby is .
There’s no trademark issues especially if it’s an external country playing in another external countries competition.
In England , there’s like a million clubs who share nicknames , names and monikers . Easy one is Salford RLFC and Man United - Red Devils .

Schiller if only at the right price.

Wingers are the easiest position to have a fill 'in' if needed, and we already have Turuva, Tupou, Makasini, Saukuru, Tavana (probably in that order) which is probably enough. We have signed Mann and probably Frizzell, which strengthens the forwards a bit but don't think is enough given how far off we were.
I actually disagree with you there Nasser,
In today’s game I rate wingers above centre’s.
Gone are the days when you would say
“Your only a winger”
Most wingers touch the ball more in a game than a centre.
Plenty of times you will see second rowers filling in the centre’s,
Where the Tigers have found finding good wingers isn’t easy.

Yes attempting to turn centres into wingers. Wing is a specialist position requiring genuine pace.
Rocco Berry is off the market now, extending for a further season at the Wahs.

So if we're looking at a depth right centre/wing, I think most likely options are James Schiller, possibly Isaiah Tass & Seb Kris. Kris may be too pricey especially if it's just experienced 'depth' we seek.

If it's Schiller, Knights would have to subsidise a chunk of his reported salary of >$400k is correct for next season.

PS. If we're considering Schiller, surely the club is looking at Blake Wilson as an option too (less x-factor but much more reliable imo).

James Schiller could be on the move before next season despite having 12 months left on his contract at the Knights.

The Tigers are one club who have been linked with the 25-year-old who is free to leave Newcastle immediately if he secures a deal elsewhere.

Schiller arrived at Newcastle last season from Canberra and played 17 top grade games. But managed just one first grade game this year as he fell down the pecking order in a Newcastle side who marched towards the grand final.

Schiller impressed in NSW Cup, scoring 16 tries from 13 games for the Knights. The Tigers could be having a bit of a Knights reunion with Jayden Brailey and Kurt Mann already signed and Tyson Frizell expected to join the club.
The perennial wooden spooners are getting the band back together...

Yeah, it screams weakness. Their code is really struggling.

Both Schiller first and Wilson would be good options at a reasonable cost. Schiller has that x factor which potentially wins games. I also like his mix of pace, strength and power. Being perhaps his last chance in the NRL, he will be motivated to do well.

I wonder if they’ll look Joash Papalii to replace Mason’s spot as that 6,1 utility type, seemingly on the outer at parra

Maybe . But he’s no Tedesco . He’s a definite step down . I can’t see him
Ring anything other than a good first grade player . He will be replaced when they can sink their teeth into the best fullback they find / determine fits the “roosters way” . Like Teddy , and mini before.
Ponga in a few years

If they have to change the name I would like

PNG Head Hunters

With the tradition of shrinking heads I think it would be something along the lines of cultural heritage

Plus the poaching of the best NRL players for Cash Cash Cash it has a double meaning

And could have Triple meaning I saw some footage of a local game and they do attack the head during games bring back the 1970's

Unless David Bryenton is earmarked as a possible for that spot. There is also Attard in the mix as a 1/6. One not to be discounted as fullback depth is Tavana. Did some training there last pre-season and is actually very skilful with ball in hand too.

Melbourne Storm has snaffled another promising backrower in Tane Kiriona from Qld Cup on a one year deal. A few of us on here mentioned him a few weeks back as one the WT should target. Only 22/23 from CQ Capras. Very damaging on both sides of the ball.
