ARE THE WESTS TIGERS THE EQUIVALENT OF THE AFL'S "NORTH MELBOURNE KANGAROOS "?

The AFL'S North Melbourne Kangaroos are stuck on the bottom of their Ladder and seriously will be languishing there for a few years. The NRL need to forget about adding more teams to the competition and concentrate on the annual poor performances of their current clubs in Wests Tigers and Gold Coast Titans. I am aware they allow clubs to self-drive and implode if managed poorly, but these two clubs must be an embarrasment! The NRL does NOT have the player depth to add further teams. They should consider REDUCING the number from 17 clubs back to 16 for the competition to seriously become competitive. If not reduction then it must be RELOCATION. The AFL successfully did it with Fitzroy to Brisbane Lions and South Melbourne Swans to the Sydney Swans ( who are now 1st on the AFL Ladder).

Of all the success the Swans have had, you only choose to mention they are currently on top of the ladder? It would significantly strengthen your argument if you instead pointed out how they have been one of the most consistent sides in the comp for well over 20 years.

Relocating ain't the answer. It will just alienate the fanbase.
In the long run it didn't seem to effect Fitzroy or South Melbourne supporters who have won a few Premierships between them as the relocated Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans 🤔 ?
PS: What about the long suffering Wests Tigers supporters who have been waiting 13 years to play finals and the Gold Coast supporters still waiting for their 1st Premiership?

Heard of Parra???

They are allegedly a massive powerhouse in the NRL - rich club with a huge junior nursery etc etc - but still haven't won anything since 1986!

What about pearl clutching for the Eels poor long suffering fans???

Should the Eels as perennial failures for close to 40 years also relocate?

And how long did the Sharks have to wait for their first and only Premiership?

Stupid topic - and who gives a flying fig about comparisons with any teams in the backwards provincial VFL (who were just the VFL when their forced relocations took place)!!

G'day Snidest you are one of many supporters showing great appreciation of the success of the Wests Tigers in past 13 years. I admire your patience. Parramatta have at least made a GF and finals over the past decade so your argument is also floored.

I could have posted a War & Peace type commentary but relocation has bought success albeit it took a few years of patience. 14 years wait to play finals is ridiculous yet the NRL seemingly

Ironic that you wasted your precious time typing the ridiculous original post but don't appreciate detailed responses!

This is all from a very Millennial perspective where you expect success to quickly rotate across all participants!

Professional sporting success always has been hard earmed and requires patience - and in much larger sporting markets such as the NFL and NBA - there are still many franchises who have NEVER won a Superbowl or Championship!

In league - It took Penrith 18 years to make their first finals appearance - and 24 years to win their first Premiership after their inception!

Sharks took just 6 years to make their first Grand Final - but 49 years to finally win the Premiership!

It's a marathon - not a sprint!

Relocation would be an option of we had a small or decreasing juniour and fan base. We've just been poorly run.
