Saw my first Balmain Tigers game in 1966 and have been die hard Tiger ever since - might have something with why my kids and grandchildren love the Tigers as well

Supporter or Real Supporter?

All these questions are loaded in the same way. To make the OP feel special and that everyone know they are a real club supporter and everyone should look up to their shining example.

If you love the club, get to what games you can, cheer, yell, swear at the TV or at the reffs and generally ride the 80 minutes like a jockey at Flemington (any or all of the above) you are as real a fan as this club will ever need.

Stop trying to create a divisive line in the sand. There are more ways to be a true supporter than there are NRL players

As a supporter of the club I'll praise the team when they play well and criticize when they don't play well. There's no point burying our heads in the sand and just posting crap like go tigers there's always next week! Or wests tigers for life! The forum is a place for discussion, sometimes that can be negative as seen with our terrible performance against St George. If all we did was agree and praise the team regardless of their performance this would be one boring place.

I'd consider myself a Passionate Supporter of the Tigers. It's Tigers or nothing for me.

If they folded, i'd probably still follow the game of Rugby League, just no one team in particular.

I think I am a supporter! Good times or bad, wins or loses I cheer for and support the mighty wests tigers. I signed up to this forum to be in touch with like minded people. I have been really disappointed lately to read all the so called fans riding the team down all the time. Don't you remember the bad times! I take every victory as a chance to cheer, losses are disappointing but I don't whine about it as there is always next week and a chance to support the boys again. Please have faith tigers fans and support our boys! I'm sure we will be repaid for our support as we were in 05\. We are so lucky to have so many special players in the one team I know they will click!

I used to post comments just like this, I have been on these forums for many more years than the sign up date suggests.
I got told off constantly for saying we need to support our team no matter what! How refreshing to see someone else with the same mentality :smiley:
