Didn't see the game but a mate texted me this, "Apparently RF was MOM in the Charity Shield" ..anyone watch it?

He played all of first half was excellent, Ennis and Cory Parker highly praised him. He scored a good try after 7 mins, first try of Souths. Then he returned about 3/4 mark and played well again. Almost faultless. I was surprised how well he co-ordinated with the team. He was yelling out instructions etc. as if he was capt.

Please refrain from reminding me I may have to listen to ennis and Corey Parker commentary… while I'm down why don't.you remind me anasta and gasnia commentate too.

Saw most of the game,Farah was good, but If could have Farah or Cook,I would take Cook. With the way the game is played now,Cook has all the required skills. Mind you they should go pretty good sharing the role.

I was actually very impressed with Souths, okay only a trial but they seem to have worked hard on their attack and got away from trying to bash teams out of the contest

Some times players need a change depending on the situation and playing time. Wouldn't be the first to leave us and go well (Fifita, O'Donnell, Teo, Koro). I am more concerned with who we have at hooker its too important of a position to run around with Mcilwrick and Ballin. We will only go well if Liddle comes through fast.

My worry is our pathetic goaline defence. Farah excells at sneaky tries in this zone as he proved again today v Saints. He has to be shut down in our red zone or tries could flow with big boppers in motion and options galore to hit runners.

Have to agree with Stryker , Farrah is very good close to the line and needs to be shut down straight away , we can't afford to get dirty and cost us penalties , Adam Reynolds is a pretty good kicker , we need to keep Souths up the other end of the field , keep turning them around and make them work from there own end , wear out the big boys they have then attack them , we will need our bigger guys to hit hard in defence and we will need Taylor to do a lot of tackles , the last thing we need is Farrah man of the match , Farrah Detroys Tigers , Farrah leads Souths belting of the Tigers , Jason Taylor doesn't need it either , Souths looked ok Yesterday with out Inglis , and Farrah seem to blend in well , I also think they will run with both Farrah and Cook , Cook was very good as well yesterday and quick

Time will tell

Farah is dangerous close to the line. He's a pretty strong chance of burrowing over himself though so if you read that it's only his short kicking game you need worry about.

Robbie always went well when forwards doing the hard metres. They were just rolling St George up the middle.
They look like a good team regardless of Farah and I think Rd 1 might be tough.

THERE is a culture change happening at the Wests Tigers, one of stability, harmony and a steady climb up the ladder as seen last year…as far as toxicity goes,it now has moved to REDFERN where it belongs....

I thought we were not bringing up the old stuff. Farah stills vehemently denies sabotaging coaches so the jury could and should still be out on that one.

Also forgot to mention that RF has found he likes rugby league since his move because all he has to do is work hard and play football….he should have done that at the Tigers and not let himself get involved with club politics or things that did not concern him...would probably still be here if he played football and worked hard for the team(which he was good at showing when the media showed up)it was the behind the scenes crap that let him down...OH and running through holes in the fence instead of facing up ......

Made a comment on Twitter about the charity shield being the first trophy he's won in a while.

Yep, you seem totally over it Robbie….

For the 1000th time…where is your evidence of this?

One thing is for sure this never gets old…

I blame Sheens.. :smiling_imp:

Well said. Any hooker should go well behind that pack. I hope RF goes well, but that won't prove he was right or wrong. It won't prove JT was right or wrong. Both WT and RF will benefit for different reasons, so let's move on.

I hope he has a shocker in Rd 1, and then plays well the whole year.

It was good to see RF play well. Hope he plays well against us too - but hope we play well enough to win. Also glad that we will get the South's game out of the way early so we don't have an ongoing lead up to it.

Everyone was saying how good RFs first half was yesterday , then Cook came on & was better …

That happy family will only last until they lose 3 games in a row & fans start calling for Cook to get the bulk of the minutes & then ... it will be like history repeating .

We'll see similar here with Ballin & Liddle . Except MB won't whiteant the coach when it happens .

I think we can afford now, so close to season starting, to calm down with the predictions and just let the footy happen, then make comment on how Robbie Farah is or is not doing.
