Ashley Klein gambling Problems

Apparently ,
Ashley Klein has had for the last several years had an extremely bad gambling problem to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars , which the nrl knew about . But apparently not “nrl” related .

I always said no way anyone can be that out of tune . That he is the nrls Tim Donaghy . Everyone one else just simply by being associated with gambling companies can’t even apply for a job yet a guy with hundreds of thousands of dollars In actual real debt doesn’t have a conflict of interest ?

Yeah, I heard it on 2sm Graham Hughes said apparently nrl knew about it way back 2019???
This is the referee game 2 last year SOO at half time the penalty count was 9/0 seriously a referee with a gambling problem and nrl knew, should never be allowed to be a official, hence the nickname Mr fix it.

It’s crazy man . Like I can’t even organise a contract with a family friend without recusing myself from the process with my work , yet a guy who has 400knus disappear form his account says it’s not nrl related . You can’t get a security clearance with even the slightest sniff of a gambling problem , yet a guy in charge of sport that every single game has millions of dollars flowing internationally through it , has a 400k plus habit that he’s even willing to admit .
the nrl covered this up because of the damage to its integrity. There’s no other reason .

I am very cynical but even so i am sure that many people would believe his lop sided penalty counts and poor decision making have an ulterior motive even if they don't.
It undermines the integrity of the sport . He simply can’t and shouldn’t have been allowed to continue . Simply because of the presumption that he could be exploited . That’s enough entirely on its own.

Unfortunately having a large gambling ‘debt’ can compromise areas of gambling or employment not directly associated with the field (racing) of the gambling debt. This should have never been allowed to continue. The NRL blocked Laurie Daley from working with the tigers because he was working with a gambling radio station.

I have posted in here many times I have been told that refs are on the take to favour one team and I have said I didn't believe it at first but have for awhile now

Looks like there is alot of true in it

Exactly . Just because he doesn’t bet on nrl games , the fact is a bookie could easily lean on him and say “I’ll wipe the 10k you owed me to get Penrith first try scorer on the weekend” .
The avenues for exploitation are endless . It’s literally farcical . Especially a ref . Like even when Simona bet on games , how much influence does a centre really have . A ref literally has the fate of games in his hand . How many games was in eh bunker official , with minimal people even knowing it was him in there.

Sorry guys I don't know how to start a new thread, about the nrl have fined the bears and Mal talking about looking at bulldog's players, cause bulldog's officials have complained, ok for gus to talk up Galvin, how did that work out???
Being dicussed here Gaz

I always thought maybe Klein has something on the NRL but maybe NRL had something on him to get him to do what they want lol

Who knows? Most likely it'll be swept under the rug and not much will come of it or NRL might stop getting him to officiate some big game and slowly phase him out.

If you were to tell me an NRL ref had a gambling ref, I'd guess Klein 99 times out of 100. He should be sacked or at least suspended for a lengthy period of time. The conflict of interest is huge. We can't have gambling addicts controlling the game.

Never in my time watching league have I seen a referee at the centre of so many horrendous calls. Any yet he somehow continuously gets promotions and gets to ref the biggest games EVERY year? Matt Cecchin never got to ref a grand final or origin and he was consistently rated the most liked ref by players.

It all smells fishy and I bet (HAH) this is only the tip of the iceberg. It reeks of systemic corruption.

Make back $400k by placing a bet that an NRL side could lose after the final whistle.

Name your price🤪🤪🤪

Who was the bunker ref for the NQ debacle ?

Video referee Ashley Klein was the bunker official in the controversial round 19, 2022 match between the Wests Tigers and NQ Cowboys.

The NRL later admitted that the bunker got the decision wrong and fedora pretended to grow some kegs to challenge but nothing..
