Ashton Simms...

he big name on the list is a forward that doesnt play for a sydney based team….. the other 2 i dont really care for as we probably have better talent coming through however they wouldnt be terrible signings just not the "superstar" quality we would as fans like to see.... dunno how big a chance we are mate....but us coming second wouldnt hurt our chances of the "big name" player

I wouldn't be surprised if the Tigers are looking at him. He's hardly set the world on fire at the Broncos and his asking fee won't be huge as a result. If he wants cash he will have to go to the UK to get it.

Last thing we need is another big, ageing forward who has done nothing in years, looking for a final payday…

The guy is 25.

Ok,but he's been playing 1st grade since 2003-I think he's had ample opportunity in 8 years to show he's got something to offer, but cant make the Broncos bench. At least Cayless had "IT" at some stage …Sims never has.
I think we'll sign him..!

sounds like your talking about bryce gibbs here…how long has he been in 1st grade for? this is his year, whats to say 2011 wont be sims?

Actually,if Gibbs was on the market from another club I wouldnt be too interested either,as he'd find out for himself if he shopped around..Weve got a lot of big young guys coming thru who will become "journeyman"first graders at the very worst,so why sign one from another club who is an established bench player at best,& at a premium price?
Id rather go for one of the several Storm players available,Snowden or Douglas,Tilse,Poors etc-guys who have made a real impact in 1st grade with age on their side, who should have no trouble holding down a 1st grade slot in WT
Now having said all that,Gibbs has definitely had his best year in 2010,with higher work rate, better hands, & fewer silly penalties,so if he forces me to retract all the above in October I'll gladly do so..& I hope he does

Some of the most significant Props who have been signed up in recent years have been either close to 30 or on the wrong side of it, Asotasi for Souths was cracking 30 while bother Price at the Warriors and Petero at the Panthers were 32 - 33.
We have to give our front rowers a chance to develop, why Sheens has let Gower go from Balmain mystifies me but Saint Wayne at the Steelers knows a good thing when he see's one.
So where does this place our 'Marquee' player for 2011, it obviously won't be Ashton Simms, is there a worthwhile halfback on the market, Finch has signed with Wigan so is it David Ferrioll from the Le Catalan Dragons?.

Whats the deal Ron, you used to stick it up da man by naming names, now all we get is vague predictions. You should don a gypsy outfit and become a psychic, as those obscure remarks would serve you well.
