Didn't watch the game.
How'd he go?

Did he play 2RF or CTR?

He started in the second row. I only watched the early part of the game and he looked like he was going alright. He had a few decent runs and they were definitely using him as an option in attack close to the line. I saw a couple of runs where he showed some footwork and looked to get an offload free but was smart enough to hold it when it wasn't on. Not much to say really, I thought he looked a decent first grader.

Starting in the 2nd row tonight for the Dogs and has started pretty decent. Can't believe this bloke was never given a decent go with us.

Couldn't get a look in ahead of future immortals like Sironen, Lovett and Buchanan.
Even Milone was ahead of him at centre.

It's crazy isn't it. I doubt he is going to reach elite level but he deserved more than 3 games with the Tigers. Good luck to him, i hope we have written into his contract he can't play against us this season like the knights did with Tariq Sims.

Very good 20mins…Fine tackles well and runs hard...

Not a game breaker..solid squad member...

Well he would be a decent addition to our defensive centre problems. Has size, decent step, and speed and can defend much better than Kevin N.
I agree no gamebreaker but decent squad member. Amazing what other coaches see

It says a lot about our selectors doesn't it… :unamused:

He's playing in a very good Pack.

When a player is reviewed the team who he is playing with defiantly has a bearing on how he is going. How many times do we see a great looking player in a team full of great players …gets loads of money to move to an also ran club (tigers) one Owen Craigie and others brings to mind and they come back to reality and there true talent is exposed.
I have no problem with the club letting Fine go just another fringe NRL player who will disappear as many before him do not stress .The Tigers have to be brutal in there restructure into the future as there are many in this team ATM that are very average players ..time to look at the Penrith model and cut / cut/cut.

agree with you Snake. We have not let anyone go that I am crying over to be honest. We have to let players go that will not benefit us in the long run whilst replacing them with on going "good players" that we really need, not just gap fillers.

Having said that - we also cannot afford to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

So far so good - we have basically, a slightly better than average team that we have to make the best of, until money becomes available. However we need to secure Teddy, Moses, Brooks and Liddle long term and build the team around that spine. Other players that can compliment them can be easily purchased once we have them secured. Keep the others that we want and flick the others. However I think we have the basis.

Agree with all the pionts lists above. We have put to many years into developing a spine to loose it.
We can't secure every squad member by throwing $ at them to stay. Although Fine does play a position we are a little thin in, we have to get the spine sorted first.

He went ok.

Cant believe that people are saying this is some indictment on the selectors. He is a fringe player who played his role, no more no less.

Good on him, hope he keeps doing his job, but I wont be too concerned about him playing elsewhere.

IMO I think Lovett and Sirro are better than him, not surprised the coach thought the same.

i dont think he was any better than what we have , he only got 20 odd mins with the dogs. he never looked like breaking the line and his defence was nothing to write home about, no great loss.
