This most recent episode was utterly pointless. Why would any fan want to hear what another fan thinks of things, that's what this place is for. Or Facebook for the cretins. Nothing gained out of this one

It wasnt rivetting, but its still a good initiative and we will see what comes in future weeks. It cant go on forever.

Also disagree nothing came out of it. I actually had no idea that there was such a thing as an "elite member" and now I do, which is likely the whole point of the episode.

Is there a swap market where you can trade your elite members for elite second rowers?

Members are for life, Second Rowers come and go.

Not all members are for life mate. WT are in the entertainment business and they’re hardly box office tickets lately. Driving two hours home in a foul mood is getting old.

I would guess people paying $2k a year for membership are fairly committed. I'm 22 years into my membership, **to me** membership is for life, anything else is soft.

Each to their own, can watch on telly until they have a go and stop leaving at HT

Yeah, but the Wests Tigers are a part of my life, they are ingrained in me. I don't turn my back on that.

Hats off to you, did you go to the Warriors game last year? That was it for me, breaking point. Then we signed JTJ. Abort mission.

To be honest, I missed that game. Friday 6pm I think? Its too hard for me to get to the SCG on a Friday but it is the only game I missed in 2020.

I don't turn my back on things that are a part of me.

I think we were seventh from memory, looking to go into the top 4, went up 8 nil early and missed a gimme conversion (so WT). They hit back straight away, really soft try. Felt sick in the pit of my stomach as I knew what was coming. The next few sets we were flat as a tack, a couple of loan players dominated us, we showed no heart. Game over. Walking out to the car, straight past a giant Roosters logo. My most hated of logos. Was so angry.

So yeah, it’s ingrained in me too.

I just don’t need that in me when the club don’t seem to be capable of getting out of the rut.

I’ll jump back aboard the membership train if and when the club proves to me it can be more than just average. It’s a mental health thing.

And please, no more SCG.

I guess I don't see how taking away my support helps them improve.

I guess I hope others voice their concerns too and if enough people do it, something might change.

You’ve lasted longer than me .
It was mission abort for me when we appointed the Scarecrow as coach .

JT?

Yeah him

The coach doesn’t seem to be the issue, we follow the same old pattern of starting ok then fading every single year, regardless of who carries the clipboard. Would like to see a sports psychologists take on our recent history.

JT v Farah
Farah v Potter “can’t coach “.. that really pissed me off .
On the “bus” Ivan
Madge ..”walking on eggshells “

We seem to be turning the corner on paper but it’s still the same crap on the field .

Madge extending has nearly got me thinking positively about next year. I just have no faith in us getting the few (big) missing pieces we need.

I was thinking hard about a membership but if we sign Mansour they can shove it .

Playing games at Parra Stadium is also a major turn off for me .

Agree on both counts. Haven’t learned a thing if we go for Mansour.

That would be the third or fourth time recently we’ve helped a rival out of a salary cap bind, it reeks of desperation.

BankWest is ok but playing Parra there when it’s our home game is a debacle.

Unfortunately, Elite Members are only 2K, Elite Second Rowers are considerably more.

Just a genuine question to those that haven't liked these episodes, do other clubs do this? Are they putting out weekly episodes from the CEO or other high profile people at the club?

I genuinely don't know the answers but think what the club has done with this is a step in the right direction and is an attempt to engage with the fanbase.

I agree that this one wasn't as interesting as the previous 2, especially the one with Hartigan as it will good to hear about our processes for recruitment and retention, but I think it was done to try and convey how important the club values memberships. Having a member as a guest is to me an effort to show that memberships are valued as much as other parts of the club. If I was trying to build membership in a club I would be trying to embed it in all aspects of the club and have it as visible as possible, I think this was an effort to do that.

Ask him to answer the tough questions. Transparency isn't just pulling the curtain back an inch.

Not all questions and answers are fit for public consumption.

Because the majority of questions have surrounded recruitment and retention which they have addressed in every episode..around 90%

There will be 2 more it's still on the list..

The simple answer is they still have 2 years to run on Stadia deals...so it will be addressed then

Theyve avoided the question going back to the Pascoe/Cleary giggle fests.
LO and CSS deals have expired this year according to the last time it was mentioned by the club. So they could move all to Bankwest. Is that correct?
And considering the govt now own bankwest and ANZ one would think an a agreement to play at either stadium would be accepted by both parties. The agreement originally was with ANZ but got moved to bankwest easily.

I think the club is probably waiting for the dust to settle on the Government stadium strategy so they can make a long term choice.

No doubt, but they are clearly avoiding the one home ground questions. Why would that be?

I believe there is still 2 years to run at LO and CSS.

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/09/15/wests-tigers-to-play-four-matches-at-new-stadium-in-2019/

This is what I was basing this year as the last of a 2 year deal. If its changed then fair enough but I havnt seen anything from the club.

I actually edited my post, while you were replying, after seeing this.

https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2018/09/14/wests-tigers-commit-to-suburban-grounds/

Cheers, I couldnt find that one. So i think we could be playing out of one stadium from next year. A little bit of clarity wouldnt hurt.
I dont think its insipid or confidential information.

Possibly. I think theyre scared of making the decision and scared of even mentioning the subject.
If they do address the question it will be a general 'ongoing discussions with stakeholders.'

Another question to the list

Is there a option in the future to get fan opinions on the jersey designs

Or accept or hold competitions where fan designed jerseys can be submitted voted and reviewed upon and then made as the winner, in which the club proceedes to print the design

Our designs were fairly basic, and colours on the orange jumper were very in your face. The black i liked. After Penriths era with those chocolate jumpers,we are immune to shocks.

Problem is they’re filthy that Campbelltown didn’t get upgraded, but they barely play out of it. If they’d committed to playing out of one ground for majority of the year already then there’s a much greater chance of it getting upgraded. Now it seems like if we want one home ground it’ll have to be one of the bigger stadiums which personally I’m not a fan of

Have they? They have told us if playing out of one ground is in their plans? Can you show me where so i can stop asking.

I think it's been our depth in recent years that sees us fall apart mid season or just as we should be making a finals push. We get lean on troops, start mucking with combinations and lose winable games. Just look at Farah's farewell game, debacle.
Just look at our game against the chooks last year, they basically ran out a second string team and towelled us up. Most players need a break throughout the year, especially if they are giving 100%

But depth has really improved this year, plenty of FRF in the rotation and plenty of outside backs. At least on paper it's looking more positive.
