Just a genuine question to those that haven't liked these episodes, do other clubs do this? Are they putting out weekly episodes from the CEO or other high profile people at the club?

I genuinely don't know the answers but think what the club has done with this is a step in the right direction and is an attempt to engage with the fanbase.

I agree that this one wasn't as interesting as the previous 2, especially the one with Hartigan as it will good to hear about our processes for recruitment and retention, but I think it was done to try and convey how important the club values memberships. Having a member as a guest is to me an effort to show that memberships are valued as much as other parts of the club. If I was trying to build membership in a club I would be trying to embed it in all aspects of the club and have it as visible as possible, I think this was an effort to do that.

Ask him to answer the tough questions. Transparency isn't just pulling the curtain back an inch.

Not all questions and answers are fit for public consumption.

No doubt, but they are clearly avoiding the one home ground questions. Why would that be?

Because it has been addressed previously.

Have they? They have told us if playing out of one ground is in their plans? Can you show me where so i can stop asking.

Yes, and no I'm not showing you. Use the search function and work your way forward.

How old are you?

This most recent episode was utterly pointless. Why would any fan want to hear what another fan thinks of things, that's what this place is for. Or Facebook for the cretins. Nothing gained out of this one

It wasnt rivetting, but its still a good initiative and we will see what comes in future weeks. It cant go on forever.

Also disagree nothing came out of it. I actually had no idea that there was such a thing as an "elite member" and now I do, which is likely the whole point of the episode.

Is there a swap market where you can trade your elite members for elite second rowers?

Members are for life, Second Rowers come and go.

Not all members are for life mate. WT are in the entertainment business and they’re hardly box office tickets lately. Driving two hours home in a foul mood is getting old.

I would guess people paying $2k a year for membership are fairly committed. I'm 22 years into my membership, **to me** membership is for life, anything else is soft.

Each to their own, can watch on telly until they have a go and stop leaving at HT

Yeah, but the Wests Tigers are a part of my life, they are ingrained in me. I don't turn my back on that.

Hats off to you, did you go to the Warriors game last year? That was it for me, breaking point. Then we signed JTJ. Abort mission.

To be honest, I missed that game. Friday 6pm I think? Its too hard for me to get to the SCG on a Friday but it is the only game I missed in 2020.

I don't turn my back on things that are a part of me.

I think we were seventh from memory, looking to go into the top 4, went up 8 nil early and missed a gimme conversion (so WT). They hit back straight away, really soft try. Felt sick in the pit of my stomach as I knew what was coming. The next few sets we were flat as a tack, a couple of loan players dominated us, we showed no heart. Game over. Walking out to the car, straight past a giant Roosters logo. My most hated of logos. Was so angry.

So yeah, it’s ingrained in me too.

I just don’t need that in me when the club don’t seem to be capable of getting out of the rut.

I’ll jump back aboard the membership train if and when the club proves to me it can be more than just average. It’s a mental health thing.

And please, no more SCG.

I guess I don't see how taking away my support helps them improve.

I guess I hope others voice their concerns too and if enough people do it, something might change.

You’ve lasted longer than me .
It was mission abort for me when we appointed the Scarecrow as coach .

JT?

Yeah him

The coach doesn’t seem to be the issue, we follow the same old pattern of starting ok then fading every single year, regardless of who carries the clipboard. Would like to see a sports psychologists take on our recent history.

I think it's been our depth in recent years that sees us fall apart mid season or just as we should be making a finals push. We get lean on troops, start mucking with combinations and lose winable games. Just look at Farah's farewell game, debacle.
Just look at our game against the chooks last year, they basically ran out a second string team and towelled us up. Most players need a break throughout the year, especially if they are giving 100%

But depth has really improved this year, plenty of FRF in the rotation and plenty of outside backs. At least on paper it's looking more positive.

Very good point, depth has always been a concern of mine, our good plodders have been a little bit better than our replacement plodders.

That one doesn't even need to be avoided, I don't know why people are still asking. Tigers still have 2 years to run on the Events NSW deal to play out of Homebush, now Bankwest. The only thing they could possibly do it move 100% of games to Bankwest - that's the only question they could answer.

But we all know NSW Govt pulled the funding from the Homebush refurb so now a whole bunch of clubs are in a bit of limbo, waiting to see where money will be spent on a revised post-COVID stadia policy from the State Govt.
