Rain is forecast for Sunday, so doubt we'll see a big crowd out at the old girl, which means it'll largely be the diehards. Late afternoon kickoff too, so the hill will be nicely lubricated by kick off at 4pm

Can see this going one of two ways:
A) we get a reaction from the playing group and run them close or even win with the stereotypically raucous hill in fine form. Ch 9 crew stop to comment every 9 seconds.

B) if we get the same old crap on the field, I feel it could get nasty and poisonous. We're just about getting to a tipping point with this run of losses, with very little else to gloat about on or off the field. I expect JT's image to get booed on the big screen (seems tradition now), and it could just get worse from there if we don't turn up again.
With the game on FTA as well, such a public show of discontent would put the club under all sorts of pressure to act.

Good point Ricksen, there have been many twists and turns to bring WT to where they are. It could have avoided many upheavals but ultimately I put their long term troubles to the construction of the casino in their area that syphoned off massive dollars from the Tigers den. Overspending has occurred that maybe in normal circumstances would have been gotten away with but not under the new prevailing conditions. It is easy to understand concerned glued on fans not wanting to part the Tigers team into the grave hole as their hearts will be fractured a bit. Best of luck with it.

It does have that feel that it will be our afternoon. Gus will drool over A Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt. Ch 9 have a habit of getting behind certain teams on a Sunday afternoon and shamelessly cheering them on. I remember a game in particular last yr Gus was particularly sickening in his bias of the Sharks over the Roosters. And the team usually wins too.

More that if the crowd's displeasure is broadcast to a few million viewers, the media will hop on board and hammer the club all week.
Happened twice last year - after the Cowboys 8-0 game and the Panthers game at Leichhardt.

You realise BOM only provides weather for 'Sydney' right? Which covers everything from Palm Beach to Cronulla and the Hills, Penrith to Campbelltown. Weather can vary widely with such a large geographic scope.

While it's difficult to predict localised weather several days out, the likelihood of 'coastal' or 'inland' showers etc might be able to be predicted this far out. Weatherzone uses BOM data and take analysis a step or two further and is usually more useful than a generic prediction for the entire city.

There's a chance of a brief light shower at some point in the day, somewhere in Sydney is about all you can gather this far out.

But carry on if you must.

Dont throw them all. A few will be need for the knights game at Campbelltown. Will be funny watching everyone walking in carrying multiple footballs.

Yes, I understand the Bureau and their methodology. Sadly I couldn't get a detailed forecast for Lilyfield at 4pm on Sunday at this stage. Crumbs. As such, I figured a forecast of 90% chance of rain for 'Sydney' would be sufficient to use in a throwaway 5 word phrase at the beginning of my post.

My post was less about the weather and more about potential discontent anyway.
I shall be at the game, with or without wet weather gear.
