Damien Cook called out the refs in the Dragons post match press conference and straight up said he thinks they’re biased toward the top teams, with the bottom teams not getting any 50/50 calls. This is something fans of the game in general, and certainly on here have expressed so it’s interesting to hear that view also come from a player.
If you take note of players in front of the kicker and then inside the 10 metres, it happens frequently. The bunker normally only looks at it if a try is scored. The linesman does nothing these days except raise flags or call Tiger players for forward passes. Commentators see the call is wrong then politely move on fearing they might upset officialdom. The roll ball seems to be officiated on only on special days.

Yep. AI can do many things given a set of decision parameters. Given my previous lack of success in picking trifectas with the nags, it wouldn't take much to surpass this human. Anyhow, back to the main bit, the more I think of it having AI to decide much of the bunker and sideline work could well speed up things and help minimise accusations of bias.
I remember the days before replays, and I remember us all saying that if we just watched the bloody replay we’d get all the correct decisions.
