I personally cannot see Marshall punted till grub is fit, and even then, I’d be surprised if he comes straight back in. Unfortunately there aren’t many other options till grub is back.

Panthers looked a lot more dangerous than us tonight

We also dropped to much ball and gave away to many penalties to win
Considering all of that at least we held them to only 16 points
A couple things go out way and the game is much closer

We got mauled by a very good team with the best line speed I have seen in some time.
Good effort to stay in this game however, we need to fix our execution in attack and it starts at hooker.
We are building well for the back half of the season.
Some positives out of tonight:
1) Second half defensive effort was strong.
2) McQueen was great defensively.
3) Thompson is a gun at the back.
Negatives:
1) Benji and Rochow have hit a wall (ISP)
2) MCK is one dimensional can run but defence is suspect and offloads were poor.
3) ET service killed our forwards metres and halves ball was terrible in attack.
We need:
1) Aloai in to replace Rochow
2) Reynolds to replace Marshall
3) Lidldle to hooker for 80
4) ET to lock
5) Eiso back on the bench.
6)Fonua to replace MCK
7) MCK to the bench.

I agree. It's fine for people to call for Marshall to be dropped but even when Reynolds is uninjured he won't be match fit. It will takes several weeks (and a fair degree of fan patience) before he's ready to play - let alone for 80 minutes.

What we expecting to
1 confuse them ,
2 use the overlap ,
3 or for the Panthers players to fall over laughing , thus creating a gap

Did anyone else notice our lack of ability to put panthers on their backs in tackles. They were always on their knees and hence quick play the balls. we couldnt recover by the speed of the play the balls. All our players were nearly always put on their backs in every tackle. there is a lack of detail in our tackling/wrestling technique.

The game plan early worked , targeting in behind their markers and slowing there line speed down , but as usual we don't score early , get frustrated , lose patience and we try a low percentage play , pass , kick and lose our grip on the game
Then we throw more dumb plays after the other dumb plays and try and play catch up , put massive pressure on our defence
I think I named it Benji ball .
Thank God our defence is 3000 x's better now
