Attitude stinks

They say defence is all about attitude. If that is the case, the team's attitude stinks. With the season on the line, they let a sub-standard team pile on 30 unanswered points. There was no grunt in the defence and they had no idea how to slow the tide.

The worst thing is that we know the team has the ability to beat anyone on their day, and will probably come out this Saturday against Melbourne and beat them, but all too late (barring some miracles in other games).

Why the inconstitency? It has to be mental. They dont have the mental strength or the leadership in the team or coaching ranks to get them up on a consistent basis. Unlike the Storm or Sea Eagles, you never know which team will turn up for the tigers. The world-beaters or the weaklings.

So how do we stop this? We need both a change in the coaching ranks and some tough bastards in the side that can lead men and wont accept second best. Get some hard arses in to kick some butt.

Spot on Tommy. That team didn't want to be there yesterday, it was all too hard for them. On a day when a win against a very poor team would secure a finals berth. Just disgraceful and a kick in the teeth for every supporter. How many times did you see a Tiger hit the ball up while the rest of the team just stood around and watched him? I saw several occasions when Gareth hit the line, got his hands free and looked to unload but his teammates were busy 15m behind him looking at their feet and inviting others to make the next hit up. No communication, no leadership, no desire. You shouldn't need someone to moticate you for a game like that, the prize for the win and the repurcussions of a loss are blatant.

Another year, another underachievement. and right on the time when the club is asking for members to dig into their pockets and renew memberships. Best of luck with that.

For several years the team has been mentally weak. They are distracted injury, scoreboards and ref decisions.

It all comes back to the coach. Teams coached by the likes of Bennett, Hasler and others have similar physical strengths and abilities but are much tougher mentally, and if things don't go our way we can't beat them.

Spot on. After those three consecutive sets of six we had in their half early on, our completion rate was 6/6\. We didn't score, but things were building nicely. Then, the next time we get the ball Korobite knocked on from dummy half and the Roosters had the ball 30 metres out. They scored, and we never recovered. Not blaming Korobite, just saying that it seems the whole team's attitude changed once one single thing went wrong. It's pathetic, really.

I've always tried to be positive about the club, the team, Sheens, and all the players that seem to get picked on here

but yeah, the mental attitude seems to be shot to pieces

I guess Sheens has to take the blame even though he's not on the field

all I want is an apology and a refund for my ticket yesterday (as well as the dozen beers I had to drink to drown my sorrows)
