Australia V Tonga

Hope MBM plays well, he was huge WT hope a few years back.
IMHO we should be looking to sign 4 Tongan forwards:
Taukeiaho, Pangai Jr, Taumalolo and MBM. 😛ray:

Lolohere is s fool. I really backed him for most of the year and defended him on this forum many times. Just looking at him now he’d be lucky to be fit enough to get through a park game. What a moron - so much natural talent but no discipline and mental toughness to make the most of his talents.

I don't think the Tongans edges are as bad as some think

Sika Manu is still a quality player , if the Tongans can slow the ruck down enough with 10 interchanges they should be OK

Possession will be key either way , if you can control the ball v Tonga they will struggle

Remember it is just one game , as Qld would prove in the 80's they only had to lift for 3 games a year until the Broncos joined

As stated the 6,7 and 9 is the problem for Tonga , unless Tongas forwards provide a massive platform they just won't score enough points

People have bought into the Tonga hype train way too much. Their 6/7/9 are reserve graders and their edge defence will be a shambles. Australia will win and win well.

Havili played plenty of first grade this year and they have Katoa as bench hooker who played 20+ games this season, including big minutes in finals games. Kaota in particular will give their forwards pretty good service. I think they would've been better off starting Katoa and then bringing on Havili when the forwards are tired given his game relies more on running than Katoa. Anyway, point being that hooker isn't a massive weakness for them in my view but I agree that the halves look ordinary and will need to grow a few extra legs for their national team…

Point being ?????????????????

Looks an epic atmosphere there… Roos need to take the crowd out but I think they'd still be cheering even if down 0-24 after 30 mins

Love the passion of the Tongan players and fans. Not cheering for them but I hope they do their fans proud. Can you imagine being a British sailor coming up against these guys 200 years ago. I would have stayed on the ship. Great stuff.
