Was it mentioned that the 5 indigenous players didn't sing the national anthem

No it wasn't - but I'm get bloody sick of it to tell you the truth.

If you don't sing, you don't play again I reckon.

I'm as patriotic as the next bloke, but I can't agree with you on this. We still live in a free country. Whether or not we agree with their position, they have a right to express it.

you are 100% right....but now it's swinging the other way and people who disagree are now being vilified. Not saying you are in this forum, but man you get some real chest beating faux moral outragers jumping on every bandwagon

I agree a fantastic anthem....

Gotta be honest though, I'm getting a little tired of the Haka.....god when the kiwis were making the semis and they did it every week....I thought it took a bit away from it......

@fibrodreaming I agree with you 100% but those who disagree with their 'stance' have an equal right to express their disagreement. I can't help but think that this followed closely on the 'taking a knee' stance in the NFL. I'm not that sure it's an original thought.

@GNR4LIFE It's my second favourite after the French anthem but last night's rendition was absolutely dreadful.

Of course they do. I wasn't questioning their right to express their disapproval. I was questioning the punitive action they propose against the players.

Back to the game, no surprises really.
Aussies dominant and Kiwis tried hard - but never in doubt.
Aussies seemed to have this 2nd gear they could go to.

Not when they are representing this country they don't.

Are they Australian or not?

If they are - sing?

If they are not - don't pick them.

Simples.

If they want to protest - go down the Domain in their own time.
