Australia vs PNG Live Game Thread *Spoiler Alert*

What about some of the hits from PNG! Very enjoyable to watch although Im not looking forward to Kiwis vs Kumuls, hopefully Kearny rests Marshall.

Geeze Guss is starting to piss me off!!! And stupid stupid Tonga. does he noe how to pass the friggin ball? Lote couldve got a hatrick already!

I reckon. All the ball he has got has been very poor. How many time has he been without a man in front of him and Tonga has not passed?

Pretty boring game, Australia look flat yet are scoring easy tries, PNG have no discipline or creativity in attack and their ball control is woeful. Most of the PNG players seem to care more about flattening a big name than playing football.

SOMEONE TEACH TONGA TO PASS!!!!!!
Lote could of scored 3 or 4 trys if he just passes the ball

I more or less only saw the second half and the final 10 minutes of the first half and I can only concur in regards to Willie Tonga.

Pretty poor performance by Australia IMO.. Had all the possesion and a load of penalties, probably shouldve put alot more points on.

Seemed as though the whole side caught white line fever as soon as we got inside the 30\. I would most definately expect changes.
I also thought the ref was a bit harsh on PNG 12-2 was heaps rough. The discipline definately wasnt that one sided. The kumuls tried all day to their credit, they'll only get better over time.

poor Kumuls lots of dropped balls and errors, the scoreline might have been a little different if they could have hung onto the ball more and not made some pretty simple errors which lead to tries. Australia not all that impressive.

Agreed about Tonga, he just could not pass the ball to Lote.

I left the match with 6 to go and was glad I did. It didn't stop raining all arvo and watching Tonga butcher try after try for Lote was too much to take in the end. Lote could easily have scored a hattrick today and with Lawrence inside him I reckon he would have.

I think Tate left the field injured, and Tonga was far from great so I reckon Lawrence might be in with a shot for the next match.

The highlight of Tonga the V Samoa game were the war cries by each team at the start, the crowd got real revved up. Tonga scored first but Samoa were too strong in the second half winning 22-6\. Fifita played in jersey 13 and played about 25 minutes in the first half and second half. One or two good runs from him and his defence was alright. Mateo dogged it for most of the game for Tonga.

 Poor Tonga…

Lortay began to cramp up from all the ice coming his way from Wille...C'mon Sheens wake up stop pandering to the Qld faction...Dump Tonga for a proper centre...Lawrence...Highlights...Watmaugh getting smashed...Slater getting smashed....Tate getting smashed...Gidley getting smashed

Aussies never got out of second gear...ruthless in defence...Bring on the Kiwis and Poms...

3...Thaiday
2.....Cammy
1....Lote...

Thaiday was best on ground by a mile.
PNG are miles off the pace.Their national side wouldnt beat quite a few NRL or ESL sides.

Tonga was worst player on the park IMO in terms of effort - (Where the PNG boys were not very good, they tried all game, where tonga was just sh*thouse, and got gifted two tries.)

He did his best to make Lortay look terrible, and methinks now where Lawrence looked a stretch, with inglis/hodges etc injured, he may well deserve a call up. Tonga was plain awful, (and sheens is smart enough to see through the tries) and Tate was average.

Definately agree that Thaiday was outstanding.

Tonga? What a ball hog, poor Lote!

Yeah, highlight was watching all those players getting smashed by PNG!

Couldn't even bring myself to cheer for anyone, except Lote, waited all day for him to get a try. :brick:

And the rain didn't stop for a second, all day. :frowning:

Not a surprising result really, considering the Kumuls' best player sits on the bench for the Sharks. PNG can only get better through the tournament though and I hope to see them at least get close to knocking off the poms. Australia may struggle against NZ.
