No Balmain allegiance, I couldn't care less about Balmain. I hope we get a Wests Tigers branded club.

It says Balmain Leagues Club amalgamated with Wests Ashfield. They didn't survive as a stand alone club.

In club land, "amalgamation" is just another word for "take over".

Wests and Balmain Leagues clubs did indeed "amalgamate". All Balmain members were invited to become a member of Wests Ashfield, and at the end of the "amalgamation", Balmain were dissolved.

Take Over is such a dirty word......
