Grace Tame is all political she will end up representing Greens or Labor down the track
Good choice Alcott

Seriously, what a stupid comment. Morrison's a flog. Tame treated him as he deserves. You just hate the fact that someone dissed your hero.

She was rude simple
Albo is the flog mate

Yeah, of course. Shes not the first to not want to shake his hand. Like it or not, there's a pattern here and you'd have to question why it's the case.

I guess Albo has got to get there first doesn't he. If he does then I guess conservatives can be rude to him at the Lodge too

It shouldn't matter what side if politics you come from. If Albo becomes PM, he should be treated with the dignity and respect that comes with the position, the elected representative of our country.

And I can't see Dylan Alcott using that political style leverage to get what he hopes to achieve. They all have hopes and causes, and almost always noble ones, but Australians don't take the politics well and so you get more traction mileage from being a decent and respectful person as this guy is.

Regardless of the politics, let's all support the guy.

Just because you hold an office doesn’t earn you instant respect. Unfortunately for Scott he treats some people with disrespect and people see that and respond to it. You’re right that politics should come into it, your character should.

remember that when Albo gets in I guess

Are you seriously trying to compare the character of Albo and Scomo? One is a bit dull, the other a manipulative conn-artist. If Albo goes and tries to cover up illegal acts performed by his staff members, silence opposition and lie with every single word that comes out of his mouth then I and many other Australians would also treat him with the same contempt.

Will Alcott use politics, yes, to an extent he will have to. He's not going to get the changes he wants for the NDIS with a Liberal government in charge, especially not one with Scomo in charge. He will be campaigning for the changes he'd like to see and based on the responses he gets from the party leaders he'll be vocalising his support to varying degrees for each party.

I'm a huge tennis fan and I've literally never watched Dylan lose a match. I guess he has nothing else left to prove.

Yep, it dumbfounding isn't it? The current PM couldn't lie straight in bed. Remember the Brian Housten saga? Disgraceful human. Of course, he probably took lessons from those before him standing in front of ditch the witch banners. The party of higher standards right there.

I hope Alcott can crack through and get the results he's chasing with this lot. But it'll take some doing given their track record.

He couldn’t get the win today, but what an incredible career.

Absolute legend!

Yeah still the GOAT just faced a bloke today who was on fire.
Was very graceful and complimentary in defeat.
Lost no fans.

Agree with all of that....if that was all there was. The staged photo ops with Albo and Hansen Young tell the rest of the story.

Of course. How dare she.

Speaking for myself, I think Tame did a poor job in her role as AotY, based on what she did for the year, not the last day photo op (although for me that cemented my opinion that she is a partisan political actor grifting for her future). The entire year every headline about Tame was Tame v Scomo and not about helping survivors.

I think ***Tame did a great thing when she stood up to have her name recorded and that act alone was a powerful action to bring the light and support to survivors of sexual abuse. Based on that she was a wonderful choice for AotY.*** IMO its a shame she let her politics and her immense (probably well earned) dislike for Scomo colour and distract from her role.

Indeed, such a shame she doesn't know her 'proper' place like the womenfolk did back in your day.

I dont think I could have been clearer in saying her "proper" place was in the role of Australian of the Year.

Read the last paragraph ya clown. It's very much on topic. Funny how the bully boys don't like facts when they're presented with them.
