I don't for this very reason , the same old overrated players getting picked when the Kiwis have beaten us the last couple of times .

You are spot on…It is the same reason QLD will struggle in Origin this year...

Of course i use Google , how else would i know there age ? I was curious to know the average age cause i'm sick of seeing the same old side going around, mind you Justin Hodges and Billy Slater would of been there 😱pen_mouth: and pushed that average age even higher

Gus just said it " need to blood new players " . Sheenius is desperate to keep his job and feels the old brigade will save his arse

Definitely time for some new blood, especially in the forwards. Apart from Smith and Thurston I wouldn't be taking anyone to the next WC who is presently over the age of 30.

To be honest, on their performances tonight, I wouldn't be taking Thurston or Smith either! I thought Cronk was better than Thurston, and I reckon a half dozen hookers in the NRL would've been better than Smith tonight.

They both had poor games, but I'd punt on them, they're great players, although if someone else stands up big time, maybe we can look elsewhere on those counts too.

Well from what I saw - Oz could have played the Kiwis for another week and they would not have won. Need a new coach and possibly another 7-8 new players. Most of the team seemed to be stale, too old or not good enough in my opinion.
Start with the obvious Sheens goes.
Easier to say who stays among the players I think.
Woods, Merrin, Thurston, Johnston, Dugan, Inglis (as a centre, not good enough as a FB).
Lewis, Parker and Thaiday will be too old in 2 years time.
The rest need to retire from International football.

There was virtually no creativity at all - so who comes in we'll have a while to decide.

I am sure there will be few who agree but just my opinion.

I think Laurie should take over immediately so we can have a new Origin coach…only problem is Fulton and McCarthy are still selectors...

We need the team to be overhauled as well as the coaching staff and selectors….

Time for change,"a new broom sweeps clean" ..... :frowning:

Today's test confirmed that Sheens should never coach a rugby league team again…. he is a dinosaur. He got what he deserved today... The following players from the current test squad should retire immediately:

Thurston
Cronk
Scott
Bird
Lewis
Parker
Smith
Myles

Chambers is out of his depth, Dugan is not a winger....

The best play in today's test is when Ingles failed to bat over the line the ball and the kiwis scored a try.....

The biggest problem today for Australia was the old heads played like rookies. When composure and building pressure was required there was nothing but panic and loose passes.

The other problem is, over a decade + we have changed the game so that the kiwis(maoris) dominate it….
We dont have many rookies coming up just look at the junior comps. who dominates it!
The game has to be changed to the style where tactical skills wins a game not just brutal strength.

Woods is the 2nd youngest player in that side , he was brilliant out there Today but was given very limited time out there . Another Sheenious decision :unamused:
