Ayshford goneski

I don't mind the idea of Lote going to fullback which he has played a bit of in Union and I think will do really well there in League as well.

Don't forget that Ryan was a centre coming through the grades and has said before that centre is his preferred position so maybe that has come into play as well considering fullback was where Sheens has always said Lote would end up.

So putting Fitzy into Lote's wing spot with Lawrence being such a strong defence centre these days and having Ryan and Brown marking the right side flank with Tonga coming at them I dont think is that bad of a combination.

I think it is.

I wouldn't be moving Lote at this stage. I was in favour of moving him a couple of weeks ago, but Ryan is killing it at fullback now, so there is no need.

Just replace a centre with another centre and keep what's working the same.

I would just replace Ayshford with Flanagan, hes more than capable at covering the vacated centre spot, plus he would able to mark Tonga cause of his solid defence, anyone agree?

Numerous people would agree however nothing official has come out regarding Ayshford yet. I thought they would have announced it at the same time as Galloway being ruled out.

Yeah true, they should have announced it at the same time. Well hopefully Ayshoford isnt out but I doubt it he will play, so lets just hope Sheens picks Flanagan at centre, rather then bringing Fitzy into the starting team lol.

Has the club even confirmed he is going to miss the clash?

Farah was on Talkin Sport around 5pm yesterday. When asked about Ayshford, he said its a strange one. After the game he had a knee brace on and then woke up the next day feeling much better. Scans showed injury was not as bad as first thought. He's not 100%, but Farah gives him a good chance of playing.

Not sure if Farah was saying what the club wanted him too, but it sounded geniune to me.

I tend to think he wont play but 6 weeks out sounds like a different story to what Farah was telling.

Fingers crossed anyway.

Yeah I know your right but I suppose I was trying to look at it with a positive outlook seeing we are destined to have (shudder) Fitzy filling in all season for any backline injuries.

This would back up as a good reason as to the quiet noise coming out of the club surrounding the Ayshford injury. Let's face it, Lote moves to fullback and the media circus will follow. Announce it today or tomorrow, it's all good cause i'd imagine we'd be flying north todays anyways.

I think its possibly more likely that a young guy will get a run. Sheens basically never publicises debutants. Ron heard Clarke will play and Ron is, as much as I hate to admit, usually pretty close to the money with inside info.

EDIT: Ron was wrong on KG it seems.

i never said KG was or wasnt playing

My thoughts are they'll take the extra player up North and give Ayshford right up until kickoff.
Might even need a needle

what are your thoughts ronnie , do you think he will play ??

who ayshford? no chance mate as for keith i didnt even know he was in doubt.

if galloway is out then id expect cayless to come into the squad with payten moving to starting prop and fulton into the run on side, fitzy may start on the wing with moors coming onto the bench aswell that is what i see happening as heigno ellis and fulton can all play 80 mins.

im still hoping clarke or sauvao gets a run like ive been told was likely going to happen but now galloway is out id say the scenario i mentioned would be the most likely to happen

I wouldn't mind Fulton in the centres, we need a good defender out there on tonga or he will murder us, Fulton also runs great lines and also has the skills.
