AYSHFORD TO HAVE X-RAY ON SUSPECTED BROKEN HAND

Wests Tigers centre Blake Ayshford will undergo x-rays on Monday for a suspected broken left hand.

Ayshford suffered the injury early in the first half and received a needle at half-time to get through the match against the Sharks at Leichhardt Oval tonight. Wests Tigers won 24-22.

Coach Tim Sheens is hoping to have full-back Wade McKinnon return from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the win over the Sharks.

In post match news from the dressing room, Sheens will decide over the next few days as to whether Benji Marshall will retain the goal-kicking duties. Marshall made an on field decision early in the second half to hand over the goal-kicking duties to centre Chris Lawrence. Marshall and Lawrence kicked a goal each.

Captain Robbie Farah was relieved to get the two points but admitted that "it was an empty feeling singing team victory song" afterwards such was the "scrappy" performance from his side.

Lock Chris Heighington believes the side still has plenty of room for improvement and has not yet turned in a full 80 minutes performance this season.

i will bet my wages that next week fitzy will be somewhere in the 17 :brick: :brick:

I wouldn't be throwing a week's wage away if I were you.

What a [This word has been automatically removed]in idiot needling a centre with a broken hand when theres a better one on the bench that didnt get used at all!!!

So we scrape home by two against potential spooners playing with 15 and a half against 17….these decisions at times are bewildering

who says its broken? only assumptions atm Ink… maybe try and get the facts before u start mouthing off

So what you saying….doc has no idea so he jabs him anyway?
Sounds familair....amateur quack.

Miss the point as usual - its serious enough to be needled yet theres a center sitting back on the bench pickin his nose doin nothing....the writers of fawlty Towers couldnt script better comedy

LOL…youre saying a guy with a suspected broken hand is better than a fully fit player, abd if we play that fully fit player we'll be evening the ledger and not playing at a disadvantage by playing 16 on 17

Yeh, I dont have a clue

well diiiiiir!!!!!!!!

The whole thing just defeats the purpose of Daniella being there at all. Word gets back the the bench that Ayshford is injured and he would have been expected to be thrown into the game at any minute. Instead he stays on the bench for the game. Really we could have had another forward there who could have helped our cause against the big pack we were playing.

Ayshford had a chance to wrap the game up, simply picking up a loose ball on their tryline.

He couldnt mange that.

I bet daniella wouldve.

Doc probly jabbed the pick in his big toe.

yeah that's completely nuts, if he had a problem with his hand before half time…and you have a center sitting on the bench....why wouldn't you put him out?????? yeah they didn't know if it was definitely broken, but why take the risk you have a center on the bench???

Daniella saw no game time by the end of it anyway

because the doc wouldn't be speaking to sheens at all during the game nor at half time to say that there could be a injury with a player :unamused:

who the hell is saying it's the doc's fault???? surely sheens would have known…at the very least during the half time break.

If NO ONE said anything to Sheens about Blake's hand then there is obviously a communication problem, which isn't good either.
