Back up for Robbie Farah

guys, i heard something from a relative of this particular player that he is signing a contract with the tigers today as a back up for Robbie.
If this turns out to be false please dont get upset at myself - i just thought that i would share this information with you guys. I know the players name but do you think that I should post his name or not. I just dont want to waste your time guys. I know how you guys are with rumours and that. Moderators if you feel that you need to kill this thread then by all means do so - like i said i just wanted to share this info with my fellow tigers supporters - thats all - no harm intended. If i did the wrong thing by posting this please forgive me. If it turns out to be untrue than surely i will have egg on my face. :bawling

I have no issue with it as long as it is expressed as a rumour. Not sure about the other mods and admin though.

Post it and its my fault if it gets deleted and not yours

is this player well known? and can you please private message who it is thanks.its only a rumour anyway… :stuck_out_tongue:

you can post the name, just as long as you say that it's a rumour (which you already have)
you can even post that it's not a rumour, instead being _fact_ if you wish, as long as you are willing to back it up.

The problem we have is when people say "Player X has signed. Sorry, can't reveal my source" and it turns out to be false. That just wastes people's time.

Thanks Kul/Smeg/okay guys, like i said, if this is not true, please dont hate me, like i said i just wanted to share the info with you guys because we are one. If this relative is lying i will kill her!!!!!!!!!!!! the player in question is george nadira (probably got the spelling wrong) - remember from souths and newcastle. but please dont take this thread seriously. just sharing with you guys - just sharing!

I hope he you are wrong - don't rate him at all!!

Would rather see the kids Politoni, Parata or Hyland blooded + Nathan Waters is another better option!!!

Would be very happy if that signing was announced. Always a talented backup hooker with NRL experience and would do BRET the world of good. He was one of only a handful of shining lights in the Centurions 2010 squad. The prospet of Hyland at hooker for BRET is a shudder worthy one

We'll agree to disagree smeg - while Hyland is not a genuine ball-player he will keep the middle tight in defence & is a much better long-term prospect!

It is a shame Chris Corby is injured!

I actually think Lui would be a good option at 9, shift Moltz into half.

Would hurt his development as a top class 7 HT!

Plus you need a bloke who can make 30+ tackles there nowadays!

see I thought Parata or Waters would have been the logical choices. Parata is still eligible for NYC but has been training with the Top 25.

I agree about Hylands defence but I feel he lacks that genuine attacking threat from the PTB area and it therefor puts more pressure on the halves. The knew Corby was injured but still let Carr go and that still baffles me.

Parata and Politini will make an excellent hooking rotation for the NYC team though and will be a big feature if they go on to win it

Cannot disagree with you smeg - but I suggest Politoni or Parata may get some time in NSW Cup this year to toughen them up (given they've been training with the top squad)!

I have probably been a bit tough on Ndaira - but that BRET squad is so jam-packed I would hate to see the young blokes miss out to a blow-in!

I don't consider Waters to be a true 7 - so I'd suggest he start the year there - but that is all dependent on whether Miller plays NYC or NSW Cup!

Letting Carr go was a bad move - but Redcliffe have plenty of dough - so who could blame him!

And don't forget Farlow did a good job there in Carr's absence last year!! (Plus with the likes of Schirnack, Flanagan, Ryan, Moors etc vying for back-row spots - then we could afford to move Jared from his favoured lock position!)

thanks guys for seeing light of this thread. Its not like someone came and whispered this rumour in my ear. It was two people chatting over a coffee, observing life as it goes by, moments of silence, then out of the blue nadira's name pops up playing with the tigers. If this friend of mine is lying I will never have a coffee with them again. i dont want to let you guys down, we bleed together guys - i just wanted to share my love of the tigers with you guys thats all. i dont mean no harm to your planet. I come in peace - and pray that Benji comes out if it untouched.
