BACKS

I find it hard to believe Lomax isn't getting interest at $600k, granted his injury record isn't great, but he is an origin level centre and a decent goal kicker too. If the tigers have baulked at this figure I would be very disappointed.

Will Kepaoa be right by Round 1?

Think so

Does he have a brother who plays

Photo on insta of him, his dad and next to a bloke with Tiger jersey on looks exactly like him?

Doesn't have any runs on the board would be a potential Signing

I would take Lomax in a heartbeat. If your $600k asking rate is accurate @tigerballs , I have to agree with @bigsiro in that it's a no brainer.
History shows how hard it is to develop a centre in Tigerland. Chris Lawrence and Simona being the last.

I think Sully is another one we quickly lost

Moses Suli?

He is hot and cold.
Daresay we'll see more cold from him at the Dragons tho.

Yeah, He won't have anyone pushing him around there...

Would take Lomax for $600K for four years right now. Small price to pay to play finals....that's how much difference I think he makes. Remember, Doeuhi is out at the start, so we also need a good kicker to go up in 6es. I also still believe in Roberts.

I agree about Lomax, $600k is no brainer for what he could bring us, and I'd be happy to take his brother Hayden as a T&T or 1-year Lock/Hooker utility option.

Lomax, deal gone cold?

Saints will let him go but it seems no one wants him for $600k. I think he's pulled his head in a bit, he thought he would get offers but no one has come close to his current deal and the Dragons won't pitch in a cent.

That's a shame

Would love him at the tiger's

Maybe we're just playing a waiting game? I think Luki will be one centre anyway.

Luki a centre? Lol

That's really not that funny.

Sheens was looking for a second rower that could play centre.

Not saying he could play centre, but that was supposedly one of the things Sheens was looking for.

Kurt Capewell would have fitted that requirement pretty well.

@Lauren think it came from this post when Demps asked the question...

FWIW, I'd also pay him 600k, he is basically one of the exact type of players we need right now!

well, following the signing of Junior Tupou, our back stocks look like this

**Centre**
- Gildart
- Kepaoa
- Hoffman
- Kei
- Tupou
- Talau

**Wing**
- Maumalo
- Nofoaluma
- Tupou
- Kepaoa (at a pinch)

a lot of untested and unknown entities here and our wing depth is diabolical. what's everyone's thoughts? do we go to market for a winger or experienced centre or do we look to filling other positions?

And maybe add Roberts to the list

He’ll be our 29th spot probably won’t sign until towards the beginning of the season almost so unless we’re doing some more player swaps our 2022 roster is almost done

Capewell already signed before Sheens arrived but I reckon if he was still available we might have tried to bring him over

On the Wts website they currently have 12 backs listed and 18 forwards listed. I’m not sure when the Top 30 is generally signed off, possibly after the trials? Obviously still a lot of juggling and pieces to fall into place, as teams still in the player negotiating stage.
Is 12 backs & 18 forwards a normal split for the Top 30?

I think he was exactly the kind of player Sheens would have been thinking of when it was mentioned that he was looking for a second rower that could cover centre.

Could quite possibly be the exact point of this thread
