Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Round 3

NORTH SYDNEY Vs BALMAIN RYDE-EASTWOOD
TG Milner Field, Sunday, March 28
Kick-off: 3.00pm
Referee: Adam Devcich

The Bears will relish the opportunity to play in front of their home fans as they seek their first win of 2010\. Standing in their way will be a Balmain outfit that put up their hands as real title contenders already this year. After being pipped at the post by a point in round one, the Bears were nowhere near their best last week and as a result were comprehensively beaten by Newtown. But a new week brings new hope and new recruit Joe Williams has been fast tracked into the seven jersey after only signing on last week. If Williams can strike up a combination with Eddie Paea they could potentially form one of the most lethal halves pairings in the NSW Cup. The Tigers have looked good through the opening two rounds of the competition with their very own halves combination of Blake Lazarus and Arana Tamauta looking to have struck up a nice partnership. Undoubtedly the Tigers strength lays in their forward pack which is led by the likes of David Gower, Ryan Carr and the Schirnack brothers. However the high impact style of play that the Tigers often adopt must surely take its toll physically and it will be interesting to see how they back up here following their tough match against Western Suburbs last week.

Hope all you BRET fans are kind to my mate, Referee .Adam Devcich. He left his full time job to pursue his dreams to be an NRL ref….what a sick puppy, hey

If I were to make a fearless prediction based on the "suprise" it would be

Tame Toupou to bench. Eloni to start. Gower to backrow. Mataka to centre.

Just makes tomorrow more interesting again

He single handedly destroyed western suburbs with the whistle against newtown in the game to get in the grand final two years ago with a severely buyist performance please thank him for this and ask what his problem with WESTS is.I and this is no exaggeration have never in 30 years seen a more one sided performance.I was that mad wests were never given a go.

Hey Gavin West is just as bad and got moved up to Toyota Cup with an eye to be in NRL by 2012

Side note: Matt Parata turned out for the Sharks on the wing in State Cup at Henson today apparantly

Ouch 😢 I won't be at another BRET game til May 1st, this is going to hurt. Will any of our upcoming games be on radio?

Thanks for the updates too

After wearing the heat of Norths attack for the first 10 minutes , Balmain score under the posts by Arana , the first time up near the Besrs tryline
Meaney Converts 6-0
And the ref gives us another penalty out of half

Still 6-0, after a perfectly weighted chip by Blake , makes the bears fullback punch it over the dead ball line for a drop out
