BALMAIN Ryde v WESTERN SUBURBS MAGPIES..RD 2...

I might as well record it to my foxtel iq and sit through the pain and punishment again. It will only make the 2 wins that we will have against them later this year even more sweeter!

Just watched the replay of this game…Wests were very unlucky not to win, played harder , would have won if they had held the ball better.

Another faultless game from Blake....how great would this kid be now for our first grade squad, if he never had those knee operations.....smart clever patient halfback, Sheens cannot deny Blake his chance for too many more rounds.

Pritchard , Meaney, Walters & Arana all had good games as well.

Bring on the Bears!!!

Thank you…I think Mataka lost that ball cold...Lazo's try turned the game

How good was it to see the two JV clubs rip into each other......

JT was funny in commentary too....

I stand by my assessment .....Jason Schirnack is one angry man...

Balmain should have a bloke binned or sent off every week....they certainly lifted...

Bring on Round 2...

Well done BRET....

Agree,Wests looked like they had the best of it.

Some individual pieces of play by Lazo and Arana.

I would like to mention that Gower had a tireless display….close to mt MOM.

And how agressive are the Shirnack boys....they are angry/mean.....oooh yeah!!!

Apparantly they often do opposition work on the park at WT training. That would be intense

This is my concern with Gower - that he is only a packhorse. With Heighno and Fults I dont see room for another worker.

As always I preface this by saying I havent seen a lot of David and am happy to be proven wrong.

Young Rhys didn't set the world alight on Saturday tomcat.

Not doubting his talent. Far from it.

However I think in circumstances other than broken play he was exposed for being a fraction one dimensional in his runs. Even with support runners available he never looked like passing on occasion.

Not a criticism but an observation

Geez if that was the only "observation" with Fitzy's game I would be a member of the FWO.

hmm . he does so much work for a winger, he comes in looking for the ball, taking the hit ups so i dont expect him to pass , lets remember rhys is a centre before he is a winger.

Big difference is NRL experience. Fitzy has proven he can compete (and yes fail at the NRL level)

When guys who have played NRL or at that cusp it is obvious when you see them in State Cup from my experiences with players returning from injury playing for the reserve grade sides. For mine Davis is further along than Rhys for right now but I would be wrapped if either made their debut.

As I have said in other threads as well though I believe the spending of the second tier cap at this stage of the season is something coaches will avoid like the plague when they can

just for you ct..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tE9rJLwJ9VM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
