They should be able to carve out a Grand Final squad from what Paul Fletcher has at his disposal….happy days are here again
 
There were 10 in the injury ward at the end of the last trial but better to have some injuries now than like we did at the end of last season taking a weakened squad into the finals series
 
You would have to think they have one of the better squads in the comp if they stay fit.

25\. Clayton (I think this is the No 8 from the trials, if so, looked very good)

I'd say the outside backs and bench are the most contentious positions, but it is good to see the depth, particularly since there is left over 20s players who would be looking for a game.
 
When that squad is fully fit it will be a real force in the comp.

I tried to pick a 17 but couldn't. It is a moot point though as there are extended benches in NSW Cup.

To be honest unless politics of contracts or injuries rear their heads I cannot see Nicholls or Curran much time. Even Jason Schirnack will have to push hard for a spot.

This would be close to my top squad IMO. The rest will need to work hard to get back from a long lay off and injuries.

Very strong looking squad, the Magpies also have a good roster but looking at some of the names for BRET, they'd have to go close to taking out the comp this year if injuries are minimal. Great to see Matt Davidson back in the squad too.
 
Now the Balmain side boast Scottish internationals from both Rugby codes
